Second cut silage with the New McCormick X7.624

We get the New McCormick out at some second cut silage. Eoghan gives us his first impressions of the X7.624 after spending a day in the cab.

Been some weather this year, second cut in Scotland is going to be light, the weather very dry for a change.

We have got multiple mccormicks including a 4 cylinder x7.440 vt that has done done 9500 hrs and we haven’t ever had any major problems with it

Our x7 is comfortable to drive and pulls like a train give them a try, you might be surprised.

McCormick hasn’t had a tractor that keeps up with all the new Holland’s and john Deere’s in a while but this one seems pretty alright

these ar a tractor n half just no one gives them a chance iv had a x7660 vt for 3 yr pulling a strautmann wagon chipped to 200hp and never missed beat ! says alot when thay offer up to a 5yr full warranty!

McCormick sell very well in South Africa under the Argo company I think competition rules gives them less competition in that side of the world

The funny thing is its always the deere or new holland lads giving out about the x7s gearbox or engine. They are a lovely tractor but they wouldn’t be my first choice.

I see they haven't improved the cheap cab interior, I had one on demo and found the engine was good that was about it, as mentioned the cab interior is cheap made, the cab suspension is crap and that front axle has 24 grease niples so don't see them getting done very often if ever. I was never so glad to get my claas back, it's a way more comfortable and better tractor all round.

you can have an auto greasser for the front axle so this problem is gone ^^

@@turogkane5826 have you seen the price of the auto greaser, once you have you will then see why its never fitted plus the hakfshaft hanger grease points are so tight made they won't take grease so constantly wear out the bushes.

@@peterhoward6311 they did but not anymore, I think they dropped it in 2015 in favour of what massey used on the first of the 7000 series like the 7619 and so on.
