Still yet we dont have to roll out the welcome wagons fuck dem! Lets keep everything west of makaha surfing beach taboo the way it was when i grew up! Especially the guys that show up with a van full of frothing townies. Me i tell um gtfo! Next time come alone! Takes time... we not going keep the world out but we can at least train them to mind their manners and tread lightly and respectfully!
Pat Caldwell, Jack (the ripper) Lindholm, Ben Severson, Mike Stewart, and Keith Sasaki all used to ride this spot and were regularly featured in bodyboard mag 🤙✌️at this place 🤫
@@CZNSurf The waves at Brennecke's are really good! The waves at Shipwreck break very close to the shore though, so it's kind of hard to get out into a good spot.
I don't know if idks is pretty secret anymore with all the tourists going for try get one peek at the dolphins. But how is the sand like now? Still get shallow sand and the big flat rock slab there or is it covered completely? Last time I went there was like last year November or December. I been going yokes and cabanas for some mean shorebreaks on the bodyboard. Yokes kinda scary though cuz the ones over there can come pretty heavy, but the barrels I would say are better than idks in size.
Yeah I surfed a similar wave to this in the outer banks in north Carolina I got a bit frazzled and thrown off with the undercurrent panicked for a few minutes but got back into the shore I went back out for a second time and basically did the same thing but didn't catch the wave just wiped out ..I was a newb this was 6 years ago..I went back to boogie boarding/rafting/jet ski instead of surfing
Definitely not a secret break anymore
Real talk

Sweet I’m going to Kauai later this month how are the waves looking?

@@Space-Doge nice last time I went I only got to go to brennecke’s and not shipwrecks so I’m exited to check it out
@@CZNSurf Cool! Btw, if you are going to go to shipwreck beach to body board, fins are effectively required to catch those waves.
