I was wondering about the top speed when i watched that original vid. Tbh i thought it would be a bit faster, i was able to get to 41mph on my own jet kart with a smaller engine and it was still accelerating, but i got sketched out.
Yeah I think I remember that, I also thought it would have been much faster like over 80 mph. But it was definitely on the balance point and the wind resistance was definitely doing its thing. I think with some more aerodynamics it would have probably done 70 or 75, but honestly if I want to go faster I'll just put more engines hahaha.
I saw a guy who was trying to break the world speed record with a RC car having to do a bunch of things similar to what would hold back the speed from air drag That dudes problem was tires, it’s prob a combination of road type and tires 40 mph with a jet engine is pretty sketchy, idk how the dude did 60 mph in one, I bet a pothole or bump is a nightmare

Wow! I think a duct into the jets intake to take advantage of ram air at higher speeds would really help the peak thrust and top speed. Right now the jets intake is in a vaccum region which is fighting performance
That's what u would think but these are turbo jets, They don't pull in as much air as you would expect, most of the power from these engines comes from the fuel, If they don't get enough air they stall, that's pretty much it. I do however wonder if an air intake would increase the efficiency. See because no matter what these engines are RPM based, they're going to dump fuel until they reach the target RPM or stall in the case of not getting enough air. I'm definitely going to experiment with that

Cool video, I enjoyed that. I've always wanted to explore the possibilities of those small jet engines, and what better way to do it than with a go cart.
Amazing engineering effort indeed! However, for comparison - a standard 125cc racing kart (such as Vortex Rok) gets up to 60 in 5 seconds and tops out - depending on gear ratio at around 80 mph. And oh boy, it can turn! So if someone proposes competition - stay away :) Also, your tires might actually be wet weather tires, as for a dry track karts use slicks only. Bridgestone slicks will certainly provide a lot of grip - and they don't wear too fast. I used to race karts professionally and I love this jet kart - awesome job man!

It's guys like him that makes me want a Go-Kart myself, just to have a little something to get around on in my town and to get out and get some air every now and then.
I'd love to see if the single jet makes much more top speed with some ducts feeding it air. It seems like as the speed increases, inlet pressure would be dropping. It's possible the added drag ends up equaling the improved thrust, but it'd be interesting to see especially because it looks like when you have 3 jets there will be 2 operating in clean air
Well these are turbo jets, they don't really benefit from ram Air too much. With turbo jets if there's not enough air flow or the air pressure in front of the intake is too low then the engine will stall. The speed here is too low I would think maybe over 150 or 200 mph there might be enough of a low pressure zone behind the seat to reduce the amount of air to a point where it could cause problems, these engines get most of their thrust from burning fuel And they are RPM based, So the computer will inject fuel to get to the Target RPM. As for the 3 jets I am building a completely different setup for that.
Growing up next to an 8 mile long dry lake bed. trying to find places to go fast was never a thing I worried about. although I never had a jet powered go cart😂 but I did do some land yachting which you need good flat open areas to get some good speed
I love it. Very NICE. Just watching. this was a great learning experience for me. Can't wait for the three engine model. Almost 3 times faster ? Thanks
Alright, so more ideas getting explored here: Arguably the largest wond resistance is always going to be the person in the seat, maybe create a clear hood structure of some kind to reduce the drag? Or for shear numbers game create an entirely remote version with cameras installed in case you lose line of sight somehow.

@@WarpedYT you put in in the description
That was baddass👍made me nervous watching!
Chinese cheap tyres will be a completely different compound of rubber. Harder. Longer to heat up. More difficult to keep the heat etc
I found that out the Hard way lbvs lol.
@@WarpedYT me too except I was in my 1985 mini in the rain 😂😂😂😂 I always buy a certain hankook tyre nowadays because of it 😅😅
it's been a long time I was waiting for this new video, it looks the last one was 86 years ago
I definitely feels like it was 86 years ago, unfortunately I had an brain injury which was no fun but I'm recovering and I'm back making videos thank God..
What a fantastic video. Love your stuff..
Thank you
Great, as always, I really appreciate your detailed works!
That looks like so much fun!
You are amazingly skilled
Your knowledge and skills are next level
Thank you
It's guys like him that makes me want a Go-Kart myself, just to have a little something to get around on in my town and to get out and get some air every now and then.
One bad ass video loved the sound 👍🏻
Can't wait to see more jets added to this unit
That looks so fun.
Growing up next to an 8 mile long dry lake bed. trying to find places to go fast was never a thing I worried about. although
I never had a jet powered go cart😂 but I did do some land yachting which you need good flat open areas to get some good speed
That sounds pretty amazing
It needs an air duct for high speed, they really need a lot of fresh air at high rpm and its probably not getting enough that close to the seat.
It's ok, these are turbo jets, if it's not getting enough air it will just stall, doesn't affect the power any.
I love it. Very NICE. Just watching. this was a great learning experience for me.
Can't wait for the three engine model. Almost 3 times faster ? Thanks
Too, too, too sweet!
Alright, so more ideas getting explored here: Arguably the largest wond resistance is always going to be the person in the seat, maybe create a clear hood structure of some kind to reduce the drag? Or for shear numbers game create an entirely remote version with cameras installed in case you lose line of sight somehow.
My guy took a gokart to highway speeds with a relatively small jet engine. Insane
Wraped perfection 🎉
Lol... Yeah unfortunately it's a disease I can't shake most of the time
@@WarpedYT you killing the game my friend 🤘
Amazing ! Great work.
Talk about a jack of all trades
