- In this 4 part mini-series you'll get a crash course on the SLX position in BJJ and submission grappling. Today we look at the correct position of your legs, hips, arms and hands in the Single Leg X Guard. This is a small portion of www.grappleart...
This SLX guard instructional has been game changing for me.
Stephan mate love your videos mate also love how you come across super well and like someone in supermarket carpark kicking off about a parking infringement would never know you're a badass on the mats.. love it... Great details as always..
*grunts in appreciation*
Kk😅
4:45 appreciate this detail about applying it to a self-defense scenario.
Great! Thanks for this
This video is really helpful I like that it's kept simple for white belts like myself
Great explanation.
My recent new favorite open guard, thank you 🙏
Amazing Video, Thank you so much ❤
There is a video of a competitor damaging his knee when his opponent reaped it. I say he damaged his own knee because as his opponent was trying to get him to the floor he fought to stay standing and the pressure was too much for his knee.
I’m still in kids brackets for comps but apparently if your foot goes above the hip in that position it’s a disqualification. Is this true in adult comps too or only kids?
Where did you get your rashguard? I've seen the yellow ones from TNG and red / yellow from the original, but haven't found good ol' Red TNG yet....
what is the difference between SLX and ashi garami? thank you
There isn’t really one. Typically Slx is the term used when this position is used to sweep. Ashi Garami is used in a context of Leglocks.
That being said, I think it’s incredibly useful to become proficient at using the same position in both paradigms: sweeping and submitting. It allows you many more options and makes you a more well-rounded fighter
What’s the difference between SLX and reverse de la riva?
@@richarddukard8989 the opposite leg entangles your opponen't's leading leg. Here's a good tutorial on the rdlr - ruclips.net/video/lj985a5UJl0/видео.html
