- Meet Gursaurabh Singh from New Delhi who has invented a kit that converts ordinary bicycles into electric cycles. His innovation is making cycling long distances a breeze for those who cannot afford a motorized vehicle. Gursaurabh wanted to create a solution that would help Bicycle owners travel longer distances without fatigue. After 14 different design prototypes, he created DVECK (Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit) that once fitted on a bicycle gives it a range of up to 40 km with a top speed of 25 km/hr. That's a 24v geared motor which has high torque. It is usually installed on the rear wheel but I've never seen it installed between the drive and freewheel like this. I think it could be installed on mtb and hybrids as well. This is the easiest conversion kits I've ever seen. I actually thought it was fake previously until he opened the case 😮

Mr Hrithick Sharma kindly note the Bicycle is the backbone of transport in villages and towns in India Just consider the amount of stress they undergo in pedalling for kilometres which is nothing in front of the back pain you quote.Consider the hilly track where he has to take a lot of stress this will prove a great boon.People carry a lot of goods in cycling also.

If he could add a feature to charge the battery using either solar or peddling then it would be a wonderful combination. People who wants to peddle can peddle and also charges the battery.

It has pedal charging, 20km pedeling charges battery upto 70% he says
And why solar, it's less efficient for moving vehicles and are u gonna keeping Solar panels on head??
But you can get solar panels on your HOME and charge it by it. So you can save more money.

Sorry to say.....but after seeing the internal components i was shocked..
Because He is using aa PMDC 24v 250w motor in his Conversion kit....
This type of motor is used in side of an bycycle in an open air...but he is using it into an internal box...the problem is the motor can't get the air contact and get heated very quickly, and chance of burn..and the internal heat can damage the lithium battery pack also.😕
Good observation. The aluminium case might help as a heat sink. The larger problem is that the 24v geared motor is inefficient. I think 15-20km range. By installing it in between the drive and freewheel, it almost acts like a mid drive motor.

I don't understand If you remove the safety covering present around the cycle chain then It may be not safe for riders. Because use of safety covering on chain is to protect rider from any accident because of cycle chain.
