Honestly, garvantula was the pokemon I enjoyed using most whenever I played bw2. I would always make sure to catch one with the compound eyes ability to raise the accuracy of moves by 30%. After grinding on the battle subway for battle points, I got the wide lens item to increase accuracy even farther. This made the move thunder have 100% accuracy, when it was normally 70%. With garvantula's crazy special attack and speed, it was an almost unstoppable monster. 11/10 would recommend to everybody.

I think they are targeting more towards toddlers than children at this point. 5 year olds can beat the older games just fine and those games have darker themes like pokemon tower and marowak, where they take on the Mafia.
@@amaterasumaster8781 Fun doesn't mean easy. If you work hard to get an A on a paper, doesn't it feel better than just being given it? The games are getting too easy and watered down. I had 2 challenging battles in all of Galar, haven't played it since.

Don't know what the above guy was refering to, but dropping a HM move like Strength on Ampharos (a special attacker!) while you get Return from Bianca after defeating Cheren (iirc) is an incredibly bad play, even if the move deleter is in Driftveil, Return is a NUKE as you can have 102bp attack by the second gym, whereas Strength sits at 80bp and you have to wait until Driftveil to drop it, whereas Return can be deleted anytime.

@@Locormus2 Return would likely be weaker than Strength at the 3rd gym if friendship isn't purposely grinded. Since he gets these up weekly i doubt he had time for that
It's so funny that this Hiker guy wanted to trade his Gigalith for an Emolga, since last game, he wanted to trade a Boldore for his own Emolga. There's a little story there! The Hiker fell to peer pressure and realized that he MUST have a Rock type as a Hiker. So he traded his precious pet Emolga for one out of desperation. But in the end, he realized that this simply wasn't who he was. He missed his dearly beloved pet. So, he sought out someone who could return his precious Emolga. The chances were slim that it would be the same one, but at this point, any Emolga would do. Away goes his despised Boldore, now a Gigalith, as it evolved after the trade in Black 1. He has his precious pet back, and will never fall to the expectations of others again
@@SilphSpectre it's a very fun game! With only one problem. The dragon types are horrifying, for me at least. I don't know about other people, but the dragon types are what ruined my nuzlockes. Like Cynthia's garchomp when she destroyed my first platinum nuzlocke.
@@kennovafastforward8460 there is a reason why fairy type got introduced in gen 6 - also most of the VGC players from gen 5 days know term "Drag-Mag"... Gamefreak kinda overdodid it with dragon power in this gen
@@MLGProMaster-tu9tz well, you can tell the same about steel and dark types, they could just buff bugs and make some physical hitting ghousts, but Gamefreak added some more depth to types instead

Honestly the overworld braviary from white 2 is the reason I fell in love with Braviary. Its my favourite pokemon because I caught one in gen 5. I've had that braviary at least 7 years, probably 8. He owns my heart.
Great run dude! Have you ever tried a N type nuzlocke? It's basically an hardcore nuzlocke but you also have to permabox a pokemon after every major story-driven battle, starting from first gym all the way to e4, possibly one that played a big role in the last battle and has already been in your team the longest. Would be interesting to watch!
@@veszty9989 Would be even crazier if you boxed every mon you used in a boss battle. Probably would be super tedious and luck based for games with lots of bosses and not many encounters, but it would be interesting for games that don’t fall under that category.
But then again, it is kinda Clay's fault for getting rid of his only Pokemon that took Water type damage neutrally and not even bothering to replace it with like a Quagsire or something. I forget what Ground types are in B2/W2.
25:00 I was surprised by simipour on my blind nuzlock run as well. Though at how useful he was in my team. It was not my first water choice, but when I lost Tirtouga, I recently used Simipour as a substitute but he (nicknamed Sebastian), was a strange critical beast and ended up winning a spot in my team. I had similar experience when I used a Primeape on my Red Nuzlocke, though I think I cursed it by naming it Chuck Norris, he was also a critical beast.
I'm not a fan of Nuzlockes but these have made me go back and give Black 2 another shot. When I first played it like, two years ago I just breezed through the game, didn't really give it time to really impress me. Then of course the "True Power" series really made me realized I barely even scratched Black 2. Playing it now is rather refreshing and I'm enjoying it a lot and can see how most consider these games one of the best.
on clay after the first low kick, couldnt u have switched into emolga on the excadrills bulldoze and then on the following turn switch jolteon into a non ground type move? jolteon surely would’ve killed with ground gem dig from that range and electabuzz could’ve lived as a result
im legit proud of you for being easier on yourself via the encounters. i watch a lot of nuzlockers, but you were always the hardest on yourself when it came to encounter rules!
Silph you are the man. Got a couple ideas: Love the series so much btw. A randomized version in any game as a typelocke with you playing and summarizing like with this series would be highly watchable content. Enabling trade evolutions is so not a big deal in hardcore nuzlockes. You have got to do a nuzlocke of radical red and gs chronicles. They are legit right up your ally. I am trying to fightlocke both.
Finally Galvantula in a challenge run, Love that pokemon to bits and it's compound eyes thunder antics alongside it kind of highkey destroying the E4 in BW/B2W2. That pokemon clutches up in a nuzlocke let me tell you.

I'm over here cheering for your teams, tearing up at certain losses and laughing at your passive aggressive sarcasm towards some of the NPCs. I love Eelectross, mine was max health and special defense. Coil, Drain Punch, Acid Spray, and Zap Cannon with leftovers as the item. Pretty awesome set

Thought about galvantra before I even clicked play! That Pokémon is a legend with its ability, high special attack and speed. It also learns some pretty amazing moves. I loved using it in my play through
Another banger, Silph! Loved the crazy strats, especially the Metronome Shadow Ball and teaching Drain Punch. And about the debate, that Gym has a punk rock vibe to it, and that npc is a guitarist, so it has to be Green Day Billy Joe, right?
Mono electric is really fun in White, i love how you can have two ground immunities with emolga and eelektross and a neutral one with galvantula. And the legendary fits the theme unlike in Black.
While I didn't do a hardcore nuzlocke only a normal playthrough with only eletric types this makes me happy. My team is electivire, eelektross, galvantula, ampharos, magnezone, and surprisingly emolga. Really gave me a new appreciation for these six. Especially since I'm at white tree hollow
PSA: emolga encore is super broken. The ai doesn't switch out of it, so you can encore mons like Drayden's Flygon into the ground moves the rest of your team baits. Also the static ability has a 50% chance to force an electric type to appear in areas with one if you lead with a mon with it, so you can get Tynamo and Emolga quicker with that

Not sure if you could have farmed more red shards but fire punch would have had 15 more base power and had a chance to burn excadrill lowering it's attack and causing damage every turn
