What a cracking guy you are Billy. Brilliant fisherman, brilliant facilitator and, I guess, brilliant company. I can't actually get out to fish anymore but, it's super to be able to tag along and have yoi let me know where I had been going wrong all those years. Thank you my friend.
Nice to see you finally caught a keeper Billy, you were beginning to look a bit thin. We always learn something when we watch you Billy. Thanks brother, keep casting 🇳🇴🐟
Thanks Billy. Great to have an expert who talks and advises in a way that really helps us beginners. Off to south west Norway in 3 weeks. I'm taking your advice and writing it all down!
@@Billyfishing_watch Billy - why the gloves ? Also...can you recommend a landing net or type of net. I'm 67 and haven't fished since I was 17 but am excited about my trip to south west Norway in September. I've noted all your lures and rods/ line etc.
All good advice Billy I see people cast and wind in as soon as there lure hits the water if just a few of these see your video then you've done a good job😊
Hi David. It's just a simple tip, but it's where a lot of fishers go wrong. So like you say, if just a few anglers see it. It will help out, thanks Brother 👍😁
I'm going to Norway in the summer and looking forward to doing some fishing - I'm not a very experienced fisherman and I've never fished around Scandinavia so this video was very helpful, thanks for making it 🙂
So glad you find it helpful! It's nice my efforts have not been wasted. If you would like more tips follow this link, I think you might find the video helpful, thanks Brother 😁👌
So i have been out 5 times the last two weeks without luck, and i figured i needed some research, so i stumpled upon Billy. Next thing i know i caught a 5 kg coalfish, thanks for the great tip🎉😄
Thanks for the info. I always change the rings and usually use a treble hook but I like the idea of the two singles, so I will try that in the future. tight lines:)
nice fishing billy ,do you ever get any haddock or plaice , my mates have fished various places over there and had loads of plaice and haddock , really enjoy your videos
Great stuff billy , I don’t do as much lure fishing as I’d like , I keep dipping into it, nice tips I’ll try out next time, like just how to retrieve it properly can make the difference! Hope dinner was yum bro , appreciate your efforts 🎣🤘🏼
Always used to turn my nose up at lure fishing. Then I hooked a big pollack an light gear lol. On the East Coast of Scotland the water has to be filthy for Cod so can't do bait and lures at the same time. Fun in Summer though.
Hi billy another great video and tips love you watching mate. What is that net called your using I could do with one of those to get me out of problem high spots to net the fish ?
going to norway with my dad next summer for fishing and wildcamping. the plan is o drive next to one of all the fjords or maybe the coastline to find a camp spot near the water so we can fish all the time without leaving camp. do you happen to know any spots? i checked some cabins but they are pretty hard tog et too...like u need boats etc. so freecamping in the wild is what we normaly do in sweden so gonna do that there aswell
Great video as always, talking about snags if you have to pull for a break are you assuming it will snap at the leader/main line knot or have you got a weaker line between the leader and lure
Hi. The mainline is 20lb and the leader 30-40 on this rod. Leader knots are key, sometimes the main line breaks and sometimes the leader breaks. But only if the knot is what is called, a 100% knot. This means the knot is the same strength as the fishing line it is tied out of. Most knots will break at about 50% the strength of the line, But 100% Knots break at the full strength of the line. I have my own knot, it's called the BF knot. Follow the link, and you will find it halfway through the video. Thanks Brother 👍😁
Hi Billy, love the videos. My Daughter lives in Bergen and we visit when we can. I have fished the Bergen area with limited success, can you recommend any good spots please?
Hi Bud. I have fished there, but it was not the type of fishing most anglers would enjoy. I was fishing into 250m of water. So not much help, but experiences taught me to stay out by the coast, and don't go too deep into the fjords. There is good fishing in Bergen, at this time of the year. On lures and bait, tight lines Brother 👍😁
Caught 2 nice sized mackerel last night, just cooked them for my wife and myself for dinner and get to sit down and watch Billy fish whilst eating a fish I caught just makes it even better.

Great video Billy! I never crossed my mind to just swap the treble for assist hooks. Now I'm going to spend an entire night tying assist hook😅

Thanks Billy - some good info there. That rod of yours certainly seems to cast well! Tight lines - stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍
Hi Trampbuddy, glad you liked it. I will do a vid on the rod soon, it's just too hard to ride about us in the comments. Thanks Brother 👍😁

Hi. Glad you liked it, hope you can use them. Thanks Brother 😁👌
Nice one Billy 👍
I've been making my own split rings with the old looping pliers and a quick flash on the belt sander to smooth the ends.

nice fishing billy ,do you ever get any haddock or plaice , my mates have fished various places over there and had loads of plaice and haddock , really enjoy your videos

Hi bud. Yes, delicious! There's just one problem with it, you need fish to catch. I hope you have rich waters. Thanks Brother 😁👌
@@Billyfishing_watch true mate , you can only catch um if they are there in the first place 👍🏼

It's fun in the winter too, but they got to be on the bite Nigel. Thanks Brother 😁👌
@@Billyfishing_watch Aye, that and no nearly the numbers lately. Maybe make it to Norway one of these days!
All you need to have the time of your life, is two spinning rods👌
Great video and, lets be honest, this tactic applies to most areas not just Norway
Hi yes it does, but there's always some smart Alec that has to have the last word. Thanks Brother 😁👌
Nice video 😊
Thanks Brother 😁👌
Billy - did you call those hooks with the sort of blue feathers 'assist hooks'?
Yep! That's what I said.

What is the landing net handle that you are using, Make/Model ? Thanks
