And in t20, no one should care about averages. If you are powerful, technically a good batsman and have performed magnificently for sometime then you have all rights to be in t20Is. For example look at Jos Buttler, his t20 average was bad initially. He performed in IPL consistently in 2018 and now he is in top 10 t20 batsman in the world. Even if Mcdermott doesn't perform, he should be getting chances
