I look forward to each video. To have you talking through your VNAV set up and GP transition is very informative. Also your steady cadence through each phase of the checklists and approach sequence is something I try to duplicate. I have impoved my technique by watching you. Thanks, Rick
Thank you. I hope you continue to find the videos and information helpful. Too often, I see IFR students (and pilots) try to juggle too many balls simultaneously. Establishing an order of operations and methodical procedures helps make single-pilot IFR go smoothly. I wrote about this general concept in the February 2024 issue of AOPA Pilot--"A Recipe for IFR Flight": www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2024/february/pilot/instrument-tip-a-recipe-for-ifr-flight

Great article! I’ve incorporated that into my own flow - thanks!
Look for a complementary article about briefing IFR procedures in the October issue of AOPA Pilot.
Hey Bruce - I heard you mention "hawkz" to atc early in the flight. Just curious if you were on the hawkz arrival procedure or what was going on .
That wasn't me. You heard another (airline) pilot who was flying that arrival, which is only for turbines. And I was VFR.
