Jokic was bad defensively, but Gordon scored 2 points in 31 minutes. MPJ continues with its complete lull in the last quarter in 90% of games. Julian, PW are a disaster as expected of them, PW even took a step back in their progression. Except for that quarter against the Kings, Gordon is sluggish and doesn't move well at all. Jokic gave him three possessions in the third quarter within a yard of the basket, and each time he made the famous Ben Simmons-like pass instead of making the basket. I listened to coaches in Serbia who have been coaching for 30 years, and they all agree that the players are fed up with each other, and that's why we watch Denver without any effort. Denver must trade at least two players when this season is over, because any attempt to fix the starting 5 would be even worse. The bench needs to be strengthened because you can't go to the playoffs with Julian, PW, Jordan, Tyson, Saric, Zeke because every team will blow us away with a 15+ difference. Phoenix also lost at home to Indiana, which is desperate this season. Minnesota was blown out at home by New York and lost twice to Portland in 10 days. The only teams that play steadily and without any oscillations are Boston, Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dallas and that's it.

I would think Julian Strawther offers some trade value. I would hate to trade him, but he would be the sacrificial lamb out of the 3 young core players because so far he's the one that looks the most unplayable/inconsistent because of his defense. CB and Watson are inconsistent offensively especially Watson, but at least they were known as good defenders. Julian is the opposite. He's known as a scorer but defensively there's still much for him to learn and play through mistakes. On the Nuggets, defense is more important than offense because Jokic by himself can already elevate the team offensively, but defensively he needs 3 & D players and athletes who can make his job easier.

I don't want them to trade MPJ, mainly because that trade would be done by Booth. I don't trust him not to botch it. He basically brought the team to this place with his horrendous asset mismanagement. Let Booth's contract expire and then start over
Malone lost his team, gonna be the 3rd coach in 3 years to be fired after going to the finals if he doesn't get them back asap. Monty Williams and Budenholzer had the same issue, their lockerrooms fractured under stars who wanted to be divas more than win. Jokic is no nonsense same with AG, but the other 2 top paid guys ruffle feathers and have been getting yelled at a lot on court for being lazy. Malone is a good coach, but he cannot develop young guys consistently if they aren't allowed some leash to make mistakes to learn from.
Spot on. Malone doesn't know how to juggle the "2 timelines" of veteran and young players. To be fair, it is a very challenging task. Even Steve Kerr is facing the same issue as Malone for the Warriors, trying to build a team for the present AND the future. Malone can't develop young players and expect them to bring the same level of impact as the veterans. It also doesn't help that we have 7 "young" players on the rosters that we need to develop including Zeke. That is just way too many. This is also where Booth and Malone's vision for the team differs.
@LLawliet-tv9ig how long has Zeke been on our team? So they could have played/developed him by giving him playing time years ago? Like they gave Braun and Watson to grow, and are giving Strawther to grow? Zeke isn't a 5 either.
@@FrankM-u1w Yea, so the player development is recent years haven’t been great. There’s a reason why championship teams don’t rely on rookies or young players cuz they’re just not ready to contribute meaningfully in the playoff. The only exception would be Braun, but I would say he even had a down year in the last playoffs. Going back to my main point. Nuggets have too many young bucks to develop. They need to cut or trade half of them so we can get our bench depth back. I would part ways with Pickett, Zeke, and one of Tyson or Strawther. Pickett needs no explanation. Tyson and Strawther have potential, but their floor is so low now I don’t think the team can wait for them to properly develop into the players they can be especially Strawther. I would rather keep Strawther, but he has more trade value than Tyson for sure. Zeke is a failed experiment, but I genuinely believe he could have been AND still can be an impactful player. The coaching/ player development staff botched his development and confidence by moving him completely to the 5 cuz the front office was too lazy and cheap and get a serviceable backup center for Jokic. DJ wasn’t and still isn’t the solution at the backup 5. The coaching staff slowly gave up on Zeke and no longer prioritizes him in the rotation. So now, he’s just dead weight cuz he’s not evenly playing and becoming the next “Bol Bol” for us.
This sounds dumb but I think Jokic should talk to refs differently. They have such fragile egos and he never gets calls cuz they probably don’t like how dramatic he looks when he does the hand thing lol. The refs also suck at calling players for flopping. Camara got like 3 charges and every single one was a flop
Given yesterday's games, the best trade for Denver is to try to trade MPJ, Strawther, Watson and a few more bench players (Nnaji, Šarić, Pickett?) for Bogdanović, Hunter and Nance Jr. Denver gains three players who are ready to compete right now, with three-point shooting, defense and basketball intelligence. In addition, they play together and already know each other. MPJ is one-dimensional on offense and unable to generate in ISO. In addition, defensively he is very limited. On another team, with another context, he would grow more as a player, but not on the Nuggets. Strawther has unlimited scoring range, although he has too little NBA experience and his decision-making is very poor. The problem is that Denver must compete NOW and, above all, that defensively he is transparent. Watson is a player for the future. He just needs to improve his open three-point shooting and his IQ on offense and defense (he's still very young). But as with Julian, Denver needs to compete now. They can't waste any more time developing players.
Hunter and 1 more. Or Cam and DFS maybe, or Lavine and dosumu maybe. But it MUST be done ASAP. And bigger problem is we need new voice, it's new GM new coach than trades, or trades than change coach and GM both must go or just trade Jokić and rebuild 🤷 this is biggest clown organization in NBA today broo 🤣🤦
Jokic was the worst defender last night and that's saying at lot on a game where everyone sucked. Westbrook the only guy playing defense?. Wtf is this team effort. It's sad how even on a good game by Janal standard he got outplayed by Simmons....yet again.
Look, Denver is a rhythm team. What were you expecting? Good coaches doing a scouting PRIOR to games will tell them, get Denver out of rhythm, win the game. So they do it, and Denver cruises because they have rhe best player in the world. Coaching needs to be better, game plan ing WAY better and personal development WAY better. Make it part of the contracts..these k er blown contracts that they will BE in shape for sew seaon. And not throw it together at the end.
How about you blame Malone for stopping a 3 on 1 fast break with rage timeout? How about you blame Malone for having MPJ and Murray on court for last defensive possession after a timeout instead of PWat and Braun? How about you blame Malone for not being able to win minutes without Jokic for 5 seasons? Malone is an average to below average coach who got lucky to coach an all-time great and this is just a couple of seasons to many with the same group for the coach of Malone's caliber. He clearly isn't feared/respected by almost anyone on the opposing side and worst off all he isn't that respected by his own players. Time to say bye bye to Malone.
I always view Malone as more a "motivational" coach, not a good X and O coach. He's great at building relationships with players and is a great "player coach". But that really doesn't matter anymore if the players don't listen to the coach or feel like they don't trust the coaching staff.
Am I the only person who doesn’t want to see Ryan Blackburn on locked on anymore. Team plays with no effort and he thinks that’s not Malone fault. Him talking basketball is so boring.
1 thing is malone fault: he has to adjust now bc the league is ready for jokic. they eat him up on defense and get in his passing lanes consistently. basically the offensive system really needs to change. that said, defense is the BIGGEST issue and the head of the snake needs to be held accountable there as well
What? Why are you all so obsessed with assigning blame. And you're willing to call for someone to lose their job over it, it's so weird like wtf man. Get a life
We need a trade we cant win anything with this team in playoffs...As far as Jokic goes no should even comment on this dude been carrying Denver past 3 seasons if it wasn't for him this team would be dead last
Well, this game has highlighted Denver's problems and why LaVine is not the solution to any of them. Strawther is UNPLAYABLE. He is totally transparent on defense and needs to leave the team NOW. It would be interesting to include him in a package with Šarić and some other backup player in a trade for a reliable backup center (Valančiūnas?). Right now Tyson is more valuable to the team as a 3+D with rebounding ability. Murray is considerably worse when he is the only point guard on the team with Nikola. With Westbrook at his side, he takes on the role of shooting guard, with Westbrook and Jokić building the offense. As a result, Jamal stops taking low-efficiency off-the-bounce shots. Also, he doesn't have to make too many decisions on offense either. The Nuggets' biggest problem right now is their nonexistent defense. They can't play three of these players at the same time: Jamal, MPJ, Julian and Nikola. But Malone insists time and again on having three of these players almost always playing together. Nuggets need players like Hunter Tyson right now, but obviously better. MPJ needs to be traded for two 6'6 - 6'8 players, physical, with defensive attitude, rebounding ability and a 3-point shot when they are free. I would even consider trading Watson for a player with playmaking skills, shooting and at least decent defense (Bogdan?). Westbrook, Murray, 3+D, Gordon and Jokić in the starting five with a bench with Bogdan, Braun, 3+D, Tyson and Valančiūnas should work.
"Not the best effort" something you can't say about Westbrook ever.

Yet goobers still hate on him. I get being frustrated with his injury history and slow starts, but when he plays well it’s okay to admit that and also admit his A game is some of the best offensive guard play EVER in the Playoffs.

Spot on comment, thus guy doesn't know what he is talking
Bench Murray and watch how good Nuggets will look again, best stretch this season so far has been with Westbrook starting when JM was injured, remember that 5 game winning streak, team chemistry was there and all players were happy, Murray comes back and all of a sudden his negative aura, selfishnes on offense and lack of effort on defense cause the team to struggle, losing the chemistry of the group and brings back that negative aura to the team that Murray is manifesting, bench Murray and look for a trade next season, he has shown how bad he is without Jok on team Canada, he was their worst player by far, while Westbrook is playing great as a starter, looks out for Jok, plays defense and brings energy to the team
Strawther is another guy that is unplayable now. Zeke, Saric and him, they must be included in a trade…but who would take them?!
The Jazz. 🙂
I’m everydayer… unfortunately, I will probably stopped to be one since commercial breaks are super long and annoying… point of ads is to get to the liestener not to be long and annoying
Oh, they didn't play that badly. The comeback was great. Some stressful mistakes at the end but I thought they generally played well.
some denver media really is the worst, zeke naji thriving? what drugs are you on??? blaming the best player on teh planet every time you get the chance, playing on this lame team that losses to the worst teams in the league, but everyone else gets a pass every time? noone would even watch any of this stuff if you did not have 15 in the first place , just keep this in mind

This years a wash, improve the young guys by giving them minutes, DONT TRADE MPJ, next year trade jamal, zeke, saric ect for something tangible, Daron will be back & best believe with him this team will be WAY BETTER.
This team’s defense is horrible.
Got damn!
They suck ass!
Denver needs to ship MPJ and get some dudes that are thirsty for a ring.
Too vad Matt Moore is not here to tell ys how this was great and ymwe all dont know anything.
All of u who saying they must be more this or that. More effort or etc. u BLIND!!! THIS team can't win ish like ever again!!! Plus Malone... nobody listen him it's a wrap!!!
New GM, than new coach. 2 3 new players and to 🙏 next year we do something. It's so bad but it's mind-blowing how u defend mpj like just lavine is 💯💯💯 better for Denver rn... If things stays like this it's gonna be beautiful to watch dismantling them to pieces 🎉❤🎉
Why don't you just go away and live your life instead? 😂
We have to stop having an over reliance on Jokic, we have to improve defensively. Go Nuggets!!
I don't want them to trade MPJ, mainly because that trade would be done by Booth. I don't trust him not to botch it. He basically brought the team to this place with his horrendous asset mismanagement. Let Booth's contract expire and then start over
Bro why all of u defending mpj like he AD out there. U so blind i swear
Even the portland announcers said he Nuggets looked listless and uninterested. You dont usually hear that from the opposing side
@@FrankM-u1w
Yea, so the player development is recent years haven’t been great.
You can tell there's something going on in the locker room and there's no joy on the floor. These guys don't like each other!
Joker being stuck in Denver will be why he does not end up a top 5 player of all time.
I changed my mind. Trade anyone not named Nikola.
Lance is untouchable. Atlanta already said it. Okogewu,Hunter and Bogi would be the option
Jokic was the worst defender last night and that's saying at lot on a game where everyone sucked.
Westbrook the only guy playing defense?. Wtf is this team effort.
It's sad how even on a good game by Janal standard he got outplayed by Simmons....yet again.
Denver nuggets aka "is Jamalmurrayback" team..
Can never watch a full episode if Blackburn is the only one on the show, bring back Matt full time.
He's just a Jokic Merchant. He was never good. Even on his "Good season" Malone was a Pathetic below 500 coach
Bro Malone must go. His voice over this team unfortunately is LOST. And new GM ASAP
1 thing is malone fault: he has to adjust now bc the league is ready for jokic. they eat him up on defense and get in his passing lanes consistently.
basically the offensive system really needs to change.
that said, defense is the BIGGEST issue and the head of the snake needs to be held accountable there as well
Lol. Whatevs brother. Go spew your crap somewhere else.
What? Why are you all so obsessed with assigning blame. And you're willing to call for someone to lose their job over it, it's so weird like wtf man. Get a life
@elizajane91 no. His voice can't be heard and Jokić plays with bums that's the biggest problem 😉
We need a trade we cant win anything with this team in playoffs...As far as Jokic goes no should even comment on this dude been carrying Denver past 3 seasons if it wasn't for him this team would be dead last
Too many days off. Weird schedule
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Lavine would’ve won us this game with his scoring
Cameron Johnson and DFS.
