I would be willing to be that Suzanne Collins has at least a good first draft of the novel already written and in the next stages of editing and refining. As a slowly shrinking fan of George R R Martins and The Game of Thrones world how I wish that George had the discipline that Suzanne shows. She doesn't promise she just keeps "over delivering" with her writing. Great news and your review was wonderful: spontaneous, cute, excited. Keep up the good work.

I know haymitch is a very interesting character and it would be great to know his life on detail. But i wanted to know about the 25th quell and its winner. There is such mystery surrounding it .
I honestly feel like this is Suzanne's new kind of series and that she's gonna keep going. There's a lot of history and knowledge of events that take place in the original trilogy that we don't get to explore fully. There's a lot of things we're told happened to certain characters that made them the way they are, but we don't get a full insight of how it actually played out. So I think now Suzanne is gonna go back and fill in the gaps and origin stories we never really had full access to before. Assuming that this theory plays out, I think this will kinda be a series in itself of origin stories and previous games to fill in the gaps of the original trilogy and further enhance the stories, world and characters that we've come to love. Assuming off of this it could go -Ballads of songbirds and snakes (Snow's origin story) -Sunrise of the reaping (Haymitch origin story) -Finnick's origin story -Johanna's origin story Etc.. So assuming they'll be more prequels, I feel like these are the key characters we could get because we know specifically Snow had a significant impact on all of these characters after their games. He made Haymitch's life hell. He forced Finnick to sell his body. He took a lot of trust and family away from Johanna.. so essentially do a chronological series of prequels to fill in the gaps and history of the original trilogy. This is just my thoughts and opinions of what could happen because I definitely see the potential in it and to finally get some sense of clarity and answers and insights to certain events and characters we've wondering about for so long.

I IMMEDIATELY thought of you. I am on my guard though this time. I am among those who did not love ballad, not because of the themes explored (which I really like) and not because it's about Snow, but because of the fan service in the book. I am very intrigued because there is sooo much to explore with this particular character and time frame.
Okay so now all I need is a sequel lengthening the epilogue- basically the remaining victors and other characters life after the war when they are all like 30 and have kids and Slaymitch is like 50-60, a full trilogy from Peetas perspective, catching fire and mockingjay from Finnick’s perspective and mockingjay will include an epilogue where he is in heaven with mags and they are watching over Annie, Katniss, Peeta, etc 🥹
Hell we have Stephen king who has wrote enough books to fill a book shelf and is still writing no one campaigns about him still writing so why not let other writers do the same if they have more stories to tell
One thought just occurred to me. Will Haymitch be known, to the majority of the public in Panem, as the FIRST victor from District 12? Cause I feel like that might be the case, especially if Snow is president at the time, just to further erase Lucy Gray and the 10th Hunger Games from history 😭
