I’m Joyce, an independent sustainability consultant and a digital nomad. After spending a few months in the UK, I have decided to continue my journey on the continent.
I greatly appreciate the culture in Europe. People here encourage diversity, innovation, and creativity. They are mostly open-minded, fair, and liberal. The ideology here is more progressive compared to my country of origin. People respect business contracts, terms and conditions, and individual rights. The culture provides a friendly environment and fosters innovation and business. European countries also share a common commitment to facilitating work-life balance.
I received all my education in Hong Kong, including my Master of Science Degree in Global Environmental Management and Sustainable Development, and Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science. However, I have no plans to move back to Hong Kong.
I consider myself a global citizen, as I believe it is important to respect people from different backgrounds and treat everyone equally. I do not believe in hierarchy; instead, I believe that everyone can achieve success on their own. As a digital nomad, we are uncertain about the future, but we are willing to embrace the unknown.
By the chance, I would like to update my services. I am currently available for sustainability tasks such as sustainability reporting, carbon reduction planning, carbon credit verification, and market research. I have a keen interest in topics such as carbon sequestration, green bonds, carbon trading, science-based targets, and green building.
