Honestly this video has been more helpful that all the videos and support tickets from Segment so far . Can you upload more content related to Segment please?
I've been digging about Segment for quite a while but I never came across a video that explains in a simple way what actually Segment does. Nice work man, truly helpful.
Great video indeed! Simple and straight. I have started to use Segment. I realized that there are a lot of integrations already in place like for example Mailchimp and your CMS so that the data is transferred from one system to another. I think Segment definitely has a lot value but one needs to figure out what additional insights can it draw from your existing tools that is not already available.
Awesome! I've been trying to use Segment and the HubSpot suite to post-sales tracking, so it would be great a more in-depht videos on how to best use the tool for different goals.
How did you split the application windows in half (4:15). I've been trying to figure this out since switching from PC to Mac! Very helpful video, thanks for sharing.
hi, how do i get the ip address of the person using the website. At 7:06 mins into the video, i noticed that when you landed on the page, your IP address was provided.
This is great. Can you come up with sample use cases? Most content out there are for developers/programmers, not for marketers. They're technical and still very difficult to understand.
The use cases are practically endless. They can vary by not only the events you want to track but also the software that you want to pipe the data to. It varies significantly for B2B vs B2C organizations as well but if I had to give the most concrete example possible, I would imagine a B2C retail companies checkout funnel. You can set different event triggers at each stage of the funnel (added to cart, visited checkout, abandoned cart, checkout, etc.) and track them in Segment. Then you will be able to associate these events with your Marketing Automation Platform to trigger campaigns based on the events they did or did not complete. You can also send these same events to your various analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.). There are just so much you can do that it's hard to pinpoint your specific use cases but feel free to ask any questions you may have.
very useful video to get an overview of Segment. it's a pity Segment's official website is far less convincing than this video. good job anyways, thank you!
Seems like you are using alot of Google Plugins in your browser. The only one we both have are Keywords everywhere. I'd love to watch a video or read a blog post where you explain which ones you are using
