In this video, I head as far south as I can go in mainland Japan to Yamaguchi prefecture. Yamaguchi is mostly a rural prefecture, its beautiful sprawling natural landscapes are some of the most scenic in all of Japan. Along the Western coast is Japan's most picturesque shrine, Motonosumi Shrine, Japan's largest and longest limestone cave and plateau are spread across the midlands, and on the Eastern edge of Yamaguchi is a unique bridge known to be the best spot for cherry blossom viewing.

I am Korean but my girlfriend is Japanese living in Yamaguchi. There aren't many foreigners traveling in Yamaguchi, but it's new from the perspective of foreigners in the West. You're good at making videos, too! Thank you!

I used to live in Yamaguchi when my dad (not really my dad but I grew up with him as my father figure) was stationed in Iwakuni during his time as a marine. I got to see the Kintaikyo Bridge which me and my mom still have this one beautiful photo of it. Japan as a whole might just be one of the most beautiful places I've been to. I lived in Japan from 2013 to 2014, which the reason why we left had a huge impact on me for the rest of my life. If I could go back I would, but my mother no longer wants to leave the US and we had our passports stolen. Not to insult my own country, but I feel like the joy I felt and the beauty I saw could never be replicated by the United States.

it is something different. It's out of the way for most tourists so it's not so crowded.
This is a great video for me because it's probably one of the only opportunity I'll have to experience these sites in Japan.

Cherry blossom season is the best season in Japan. This place was truly awesome to see in the spring time. It's a shame that It's very out of the way for most tourists.

I went to Hokkaido and thought I saw the best of Japan. Yet this video of Yamaguchi makes me think otherwise. Beautiful places. Thanks for taking us there.
Thank you very much! Hokkaido is a really great place as well. Several places in Japan have taken me by surprise with how beautiful the nature is here. Yamaguchi just feels more special because of how few tourists there are. It's nature uninterrupted.

The sprawling landscape of Yamaguchi prefecture is undeniably scenic! It's been ages since I was last there in Japan, on the foot of Mt. Fuji. Hope to see Japan again and the bridge (best spot for viewing the cherry blossom) plus Japan's longest lime stone cave would definitely be on my list!
Mt. Fuji is another great place in Japan. I'm happy that you had the chance to go there. That mountain can be very shy so many people don't get the chance to see it hidden behind the clouds.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Definitely need a car to get around the prefecture but because it's so secluded there are hardly any crowds. It's just you and nature.

You should! It may be out of the way in terms of places to visit in Japan but there are very few tourists. You can enjoy the beautiful nature without any interuptions.

Hello. Just found your channel and am enjoying the content. I lived in Japan from 2018-2021 and will return to live in Yamaguchi Prefecture (coincidentally) in 2024. What happened to your channel...there hasn't been any updates for a while? I found your videos to be very enjoyable and informative.

I have definitely falling off with being active in general on social media since moving back to the US 3 years ago. However, I do hope to make a return to posting this year.
