If you ban Medvedev for showing emotions then you also have to ban all the other players who show emotions on the court. So anyone who shows gestures like fist pumping and angry "winner" grimaces (Nadal was extremely annoying with that along with his constant moaning). That is what I find much more disrespectful than being frustrated at yourself and damaging your racket.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  2 месяца назад +1

This is not a normal emotion, sorry. This is an intentional embarassment of the opponent, of the sport, of himself. Emotions like fistpumping and shouting, screaming in joy etc. are completely fine, that was always connected to sport. Nadal never acted like this, not even close to this. Medvedev is like a small 6 year old child acting like a clown in front of millions of people watching around the world. I would really like to see some psychologist comment on this because Medvedev and Rublev have some mental problem for sure. Some trauma from childhood maybe? Who knows. Very often people who want to draw attention and act like this have some mental issues like self-disrespect or feeling like they are not good enough for the world so they try to escape this feeling by doing crazy stuff to feel and look unique. Even the commentators duzring the match couldn't believe they're eyes what was going on, especially when Medvedev turned the racket upside down on the return. Like in some exhibition. Crazy stuff.

And btw. Medvedev is one of my favourite players on tour, I like his style and also I like how direct he can be with great interviews. But when it is too much, it's too much.

@@CzechTennisGuy For me fist pumping and screaming after a point doesnt belong on court either and is disrespectful. Everyone is different. Either punish every emotion or punish none. That is the only way that makes any sense. Cherrypicking just shows a bias.

I agree. If I did this during my job, I would be fired in a second. This has nothing to do with the "job". I couldn´t believe my eyes either to be honest 😀 and he just kept going and going and when he turned the racquet around for the return I honestly thought that we would have tried to hit the ball this way back...eventually he did not. But if he did, I´d say the umpire would have done something...very childish behaviour... Sad to see, I like Daniil and his gamestyle, no idea why he´s acting like this. He also mentioned on the press conference that he has no fun being on court either in practise or in match. Maybe after the long season the players are exhausted not only physically but mainly mentally??? Might this be the point?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  2 месяца назад

I watched the interview and Med has some big problem with the balls. He said that the balls changed 2-3 years ago and since then he is very unhappy with them. They are bigger and slower, so he can't finish the points he want. He said that his team will have to do something about it for the next season, he will have to prepair in a different way. Maybe change string tension, strings, who knows.

    • @288kun172

@@CzechTennisGuy Interesting...the constant ball change topic is highly discussed among players...yet, Ruud said recently on a tennis podcast that he doesn´t care at all and his opinion is that tennis players are professionals and it is their job to cope with it. Just go there and play, he said basically. And it´s a bit strange that he hasn´t been able to adapt somehow if it´s already happening for 2-3 years. I hope he will! He´s an interesting player to watch for sure.

@@288kun172 I watched Zverev interview after beating Rublev and he talked really in a detail about how he did a research on tennis balls, asked the companies who make them (Head, Penn, Dunlop etc.) and they all confirmed, that during Covid they had to lower the quality of the materials to maintain the production at lower cost. So the balls are worse compared to to pre-Covid situation. He stressed out that the balls "die mid air" faster so they are according to the companies about 30-40% slower then they were before 2022. That is a huge difference. Also Daniil Medvedev talked about the balls once again in his second interview after he beat De Minaur. For me it's obvious that tennis has changed so much in the last couple of years. The rallies are lot longer then they were. Every opponent now has chance because everyone moves so well. Also the courts are slower and slower. Zverev said that "there is no difference between hard-court and clay nowadays". That's crazy.
I'm coming closer and closer to my idea making a very detailed video about tennis balls. As you know I've made the famous tennis ball test on Sportega store (SportObchod at that time) in 2020 (www.sportega.cz/s/test-tenisovych-micku-2409). Was re-published in 2023. This is something I want to do once again, because the quality of the balls went down since then.

This will be a long comment but you and others like long comments it seems.
The way Medvedev was is just him being over tennis this year though its nil excuse. This year he peaked in the first month of the season. Him and Novak have won nil titles. I did like his interview afterwards where he stated some literal truths about the balls which HAVE declined in quality and that rallies are being made to go on forever. Even on a so-called Fast surface like Turin its crazy how many long rallies there are VS how it was in the late 90s and 2000s on Indoor courts then.
Rublev is the one who goes stupid-crazy and should be the crazy-clown though Humbert is not much apart. Moutet and Gaston are next on the list.
I have NIL understanding how Rublev gets away with his 'conduct'. He does have problems
But what is The MOST clown-world thing is how much 6 players got PAID at the so-called 6 Kings Slam. Medvedev got $1million for an hour of tennis where he got obliterated by Sinner and then Jannik got $9,5million for just playing a few exhibition matches?!?
It is both sickening and confusing at the same time.
On the obvious level why is this monies not going towards Challenger and Futures Tours or even bringing more promotion to these Tours ? What about using that monies for PTPA Players Support?
Does Jannik or Danill or Carlitos need such millions for just 1 event when players barely in top 100 or top 200-300 will never see such money in years or maybe their playing career?
What is confusing is that often Federations will claim that there is a lack of funding when there is really just an absence of intelligent fair allocation of finances.
This is why Tennis should not be hijacked by these oil-desert Arab$ who with easy-come by $ waste it away(go to Dubai and see how much is pi$$ed away on stupid stuff) when instead it could be used for overall tennis benefit.
This is why I have nil interest in these Exhibition$ and cannot take these top players seriously when they claim the 'season is too long' (which it is) YET go and play all this Exhibition nonsense
Of course there is also the very obvious injustice that certain sportsper$ons are paid ridiculous amounts whilst scientists, engineers, workers, farmers who ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE to society are often left with the crumbs
Medvedev's fooling about is NOTHING compared to these disparities...

Well said Mattias. These exhibitions should raise millions for children in need, for Africa, for stopping famine all around the world etc. But it's the opposite. Rich gets richer etc. But I'm sure that some of these pro's will eventually give a huge portion of these money to people who need them. We sometimes don't even know about charities they support behind the door.
I would divide this into two things. Things we can see on the court and things we cannot see behind the curtain. And although I'm pretty sure there is a lot going on behind the curtain that doesn't contribute to the sport or to people in need, I can't stand when TOP players act on the court in front of millions of eyes like crazy person who just escaped from an psychiatric asylum.
And what I also don't like is that everyone is becoming a friend with everyone just because of the bussiness. Players are afraid to say what they want. That is also something that I'm missing these days. Rafa, Roger and Novak where also so big personalities, because they were not always nodding and calpping hands when someone told them to do so. They weren't afraid of conflicts in press conference rooms and they were standing strong for the things they believed in.
Now I don't see others being that strong and that mature, except Jannik, who is looking promising in this sense, he also feels and looks serious when talking about important stuff and that's how a tennis role model should behave. Of course millions here and there are part of the "sport" and I hope he will put a lot back into the tennis around him and to the people who need it. I'm pretty sure he will.

Well, the money could go towards re-embursing every working and midde class family in Europa for the EXORBITANT costs of living that have ALL been created by the para$ite-politician$. Especially financial help for farmers who are currently mass blockading in London England.
I dont think Africa needs any more funds(after 50+ yrs of it) splurged on its literal para$ite-govt class who always are the winners out of so-called 'world vision' / bleeding hearts / 'chri$tian' do-gooders. That continent's problems are more a Self-Management of Resources and keeping Globalist interests out of it.
What could do with some obvious funding is reviving European manufacturing and even funding support for specialist European tennis manufacturers.
What is also namely annoying is when certain tennis figures complain about tennis 'not being accessible' and the need to 'help players out more' YET one only looks at futures / challenger prize money vs how much 6 players made in a few hours in a 'country' which should not be hosting anything(Saudi regime are hyper-corrupt and disgraceful though they are not alone).
On the ATP there is only 150 men maybe 200 maximum who can survive off tennis as a profession(which it is besides the clowns who have ruined it).
If one was a prospective junior looking to the future what will you bank your 'future' on ?
Tennis may have got away with this for decades of EASY ACCESS to $ but when you have gone through 100%+ inflation in 2 yrs i.e. Europa and ALL the 'west' and a disintegrating future I dont know how it can be positive for the future of tennis...
While I love and compete in this sport(when I am not recovering from injury currently), I am not sure where it will be in 10 yrs. I have seen a regional tennis centre now transfer to Pickleball because $
,,But it's the opposite. Rich gets richer etc. ''
Well the Hyper-rich become even more hyper-richer whilst the wealth is transferred from working and middle class to the Globalist SY$TEM whose specific families and individuals of a kind sit up the top. Black rock 'specialises' in this combined with WEF who sets the agenda to the EU.
Sad to say but tennis is not unique to other things and is just big busine$$
,,But I'm sure that some of these pro's will eventually give a huge portion of these money to people who need them. ''
Besides Novak there isnt much else going on. He doesnt even get the support he should.
,,We sometimes don't even know about charities they support behind the door. I would divide this into two things. Things we can see on the court and things we cannot see behind the curtain.''
There is a lot going on behind the curtain however the results speak for themselves. Though I do think the increase in prizemoney distributed towards Qualifying in Slams has helped.
''I can't stand when TOP players act on the court in front of millions of eyes like crazy person who just escaped from an psychiatric asylum.''
Like you say though there is a lot going behind the curtain and perhaps this is either themselves venting their anger or just doing an act per an agenda. It could also just be mental instability. Russians are wild people and prone to more instability. Perhaps this is what happens with those closer to Eurasian
,, And what I also don't like is that everyone is becoming a friend with everyone just because of the bussiness. Players are afraid to say what they want. ''
Yep and its only got worse and worse as players become so tied to corporations for $ especially when they first breakthrough to top 50/100. They are now literally 'owned' by the stock market.
,,That is also something that I'm missing these days. Rafa, Roger and Novak where also so big personalities, because they were not always nodding and calpping hands when someone told them to do so. They weren't afraid of conflicts in press conference rooms and they were standing strong for the things they believed in. ''
Novak ultimately was the main one who has spoken out. While I used to follow and like Rafa I was not impressed of him during 2021-22. During the plandemic and Soviet-Style lockdown$ of 2020-22 and lockout of Naturalist Tennis players like Djokovic, namely in 2022 not only did Roger kept absolutely quiet but Rafa and even Carlitos were full deathjab advocates for bigPharma and Rafa 2022 support the Tyrannical regimes of aus-Pri$onia. Novak showed us all the way forwards and his acts actually woke up some people and motivated them ahead.
Problem is the bigger the 'name' the bigger the control from the SY$TEM
      'Jannik'
I like him and he is a good physical representative of Tiroler-Deutsch with a respectful and mature attitude. However he is not an outspoken type like Medvedev and its hard to say if he will just be who he is. Only time will tell. Ultimately I dont put a lot of time, effort and focus on pro players besides watching matches, analysing footwork and technique. At the end of the day their not losing any sleep over us..

@@mattiastennis Well said. 👏 The part regarding Rafa and Roger during pandemic. Both don't bother if something around them that they don't care about goes wrong. In this sense it's the only thing I'm little bit dissapointed in them. They are great players, but not problems solvers or advocates for the "weaker". They like their peace and if it is not asbolutely necessary, they don't react or get into something that could possibly harm their reputitation of "perfect athletes". But it's their choice and their vision of life. They did enough on the court and we will all remember the tennis greatness with tennis racket in their hand. The rest is just "what if"...

Exactly as it was done to Americans and British when they invaded Iraq based on lies. Now, as a player you are told to lose before the match, and you have nothing to say. And this goes for years. Think about that. Or do you think that the Czech hockey team won championship by other means but POLITICS? Wake up. Czechs were rewarded the gold for their evil stand against Russia and Putin. Your right on 'Pro sports are POLITICS' and definitely rigging occurs but not entirely convinced that they are just being told always to lose. Yes, its blatant hypocrisy that Amerika, England, France and aus-Pri$onia(aka 'australia') are allowed to compete in things during the time when Iraq and Afghanistan were invaded. Same for that G enocidal group of $upremacists occupying Palestine who have been bombing every metre of the defenceless Palestinians. The fact that white-blue with freemason in the middle symbol death 'flag' is allowed even in Olympics(which was garbage anyway) tells all. I dont have to go into the endless atrocities and videos of atrocities + the UNRA Inspector condemning the largest death of children in a 'conflict'(that would actually take 2 comparable 'armies' so its not a conflict) since probably Vietnam War.
Of course Putins 'russia' is not innocent and just another side of the Globals coin(Putin was a WEF Leader and 'old friend' of Klaus $chwab) not to mention 'Russia' still occupies East Prussia. China is probably worse as they re-invaded Tibet a decade+ ago and they occupy Hong Kong with mass reprisals. Interesting how CP-China is allowed to continue but of course them holding ALL the Industry now in the world and leading in Technology would have nothing to do with it..
Its possible that Russians that are competing in the sick-We$t are being told to be like fools/clowns and lose intentionally but why not just prevent them from competing altogether? And why stop at Russian citizens why not also Russian ethnics? Why allow even 'their allies' to win? So I am not convinced about your theory completely..
What everyone forgets though is sports is big business and big businesses is part of the New World Order AGENDA which involves both sick-We$t and controlled Ru$sia.
Its all a circus act for the masses to keep them 'entertained' and believing in 'good-bad' guy garbage in ALL aspects of their lives..
