I just love these kinds of videos. You give good examples of how you’re not copying an outfit but using it to inspire. Best example: from the white top to the red top to the tube top. Keep going till you nail it.
You definitely rescued that moto boot outfit. It was not looking good until you put on the tube top. One thing about the inspo--the t-shirt and the skirt were the same color, so you managed to achieve the same effect after all.
Totally agree with what others have said about rescuing the moto boot look with the tube top. Giving more skin and pairing it with a darker color top creates a sleeker maxi dress effect, balancing out the chunkier moto boots. And yes, I think the skirt can be taken up a bit, especially since it's high-waisted. A little bit more ankle exposure will also show off the footwear!
Totally agree 💯. Love this idea because I've literally more than likely thought that I needed the same pieces as the ones in the Inspo pic. & this video clearly highlighted that I don't- So AWESOME!!! Great job Christina - Thank you 🫶🏽
I love these kind of videos where the image is a launch pad to inspire an outfit that works for you instead of a literal translation or direct copy. I appreciate the walking through the thought processes how to fine tune an outfit. The little details make all the difference between an outfit working or falling flat. It’s helped me so much in elevating my own style whilst being authentic to what I actually like to wear and how I like to feel and present myself. Great looks.
‘Love to buy, hate to wear’ - I’ve just realised that some of the items in my closet definitely fall into that category and a lot of the problem is that I’m not actually styling them. You’ve inspired me to have another look. Thank you !
Loved the video Christina! Sooo helpful to see your process of recreating outfits. I would love to know how you search on Pinterest. I have so much trouble finding inspiration on Pinterest. Would love to know a bit more in depth how you approach that process and organize your boards. Thanks!❤
I totally agree! I feel like my Pinterest searches keep serving up the same 10 outfit pictures from 8 years ago along with about 50% ads… must be doing something wrong 😂
Your green boots are goals with the navy sweater. I have a ela handbag I purchased not too long ago and it's green and now I have so many ideas for outfits where it can be the pop I need. I really appreciate what you said about scandi chic being adding a pop of colour in accessories to neutral outfits I already do this some so I am going to lean into it more. I think you really nailed all the outfits and demonstrated how you used your own closet to do it!
I love lantern/balloon pants…they look so comfortable..and yet, with a tighter feeling top, there is balance..love it..dont’ care if they are out of trend!
This video was amazing, I loved it! You should have seen me frantically nodding my head when you switched from the red tee to the tube top! Such a cool look! Would love to see more of these!
Best video yet! I’ve been following you for a while now. You are definitely a big inspiration to me and how I approach my clothing. More of this real life dressing please!! And the blue skirt is chef’s kiss 💋
Only halfway through the video, and wanted to comment right away how much I love outfit #1. I just bought those SE silver shoes and I love them and was looking for a new way to wear them. I agree, so surprised that I am just now (last two years) hearing about this brand. Super comfortable and good price point. Thank you!
I loved this. I'm trying to style my closet over shopping. It's so helpful to see someone else interpret fashion inspiration. I'm going to go find one immediately!
Maybe I’m crazy but I think you look SO cool in the t shirt and vest! It strikes me as very 90s or even punk rock. Something about it feels original even though I know I’ve seen the outfit before. Of course I definitely think you should wear whatever you like but I was shocked by how cool this look was 😆
I loved your interpretations of the outfits and you look great in all of them! I never think of looking at pictures of other women to inspire my outfits, I just look at my closet and try to put pieces together that will look good. I need to flex my creativity muscle more though, because I always end up wearing the same pieces together!
Love your videos! Your pragmatism and passion about sustainable fashion is inspiring! ❤ I would love to know how many 'wears' you get out of your items? I ask because my in-laws gifted me a beautiful wool Blazer for my birthday and I am wearing it every day to school, I am a teacher in Australia. I am today starting to be anxious about how long it will last as I drag in all my bags to and from school 😅 I think a video about how many wears you get out of pieces would be great 😊
I really loved this video. Inspired me to shop my closet. Yes! you can definitely get the same feeling shopping in your closet as you get shopping for something new on line or in a store. It’s so much fun! 😃 and very satisfying
I liked this video very much, thank you, Christina ❤ feel inspired to create some warm weather looks now🤗. I think all the looks were a hit, but I especially enjoyed the red T-shirt and tube top look (both 😎) and also the green boots look is definitely among my favourites ❤.
Preppy is one of my words, so it was a bit funny to see you purposely avoid being that! 😂 These videos are great however, since Pinterest's definition of prep does not match my interpretation, so I don't want to 100% imitiate the pics I see but haven't gotten good yet at using inspo photos effectively. Thanks!
I really like watching campus street style vids, particularly Ivy League, and Tokyo street style where preppy never dies, never even sleeps!. Also vintage Ralph Lauren campaigns, Tommy H etc, even back to Perry Ellis, not for the clothes specifically but for the styling and interpretations.
I like the skirt outfit and the last outfit with the Oxford white shirt the best. The jeans you were wearing in the intro with the skin showing then the brown shoes broke up the sight line (like you spoke about avoiding in the section with the black skirt and taller boots). I have a similar shape (longer torso, not long legged) and find that style of jean makes legs look shorter and even more so with an untucked shirt.
Speaking of Sam Edelman, their loafers are the best!!! They don’t hurt my feet and I have very sensitive feet. Literally can’t wear most shoes. But Sam Edelman loafers are the best. I did try their slingbacks and while they are very chic and more comfortable than others on the market, I just don’t like wearing any heels so they don’t work for me. But for people who don’t mind even a kitten heal they are great.
Great video! I would love to see a video and hear the thought process of decision-making on how to know if a piece is worth the investment and price point. I know we've heard about cost per wear, longevity, and quality. But decision-making is tough when we are trying to balance that with minimalism, not overconsuming, and literally having space to store it. My current example is that I've lost enough weight that my White denim jacket I use for Spring and summer is just way too big and not worth tailoring. I've been watching for one while thrift shopping for the last 6 months and realizing that people don't donate much white because it does get stained and yellowed. However I have both a blue and black denim jacket already that I use a lot. So I'm wondering if I need the white? I want one but can't decide.
Nice neutral ideas thanks. ❤ Wish I could wear a point toe but my boxy toes say noooooooooo 😮 anyone else relate? being liberated in more casual footwear is such a blessing and I am nicer inside and out 😂 thanks for the proper mic too! Does it Bluetooth to your phone? Brand please x
I’ve been thinking about the Sam Edelman shoes for ages. I’m so happy you said that they are comfortable. Do they fit true to size? Thanks. Will order them.
Hi, I enjoy watching your channel however I bought a bag from songmont that I saw on your channel. They have terrible customer service they sent it to a wrong address. It took forever to get from China. I emailed them for over a month asking them to track the bag and they never replied. I finally had to go to PayPal and dispute to charge. I would never buy from this company.
What a bummer Linda!! :-( I have heard similar stories about Songmont. Other problematic brands, pushed by influencers are Lilysilk and Merit… I have learned to block out sponsorships - but it’s hard! And I often skip in videos, for my own sanity.. And wallet..
sometimes the brands treat the creators differently, so the creator would have no idea about this. seeing some of the comments on this thread: i have purchased from lilysilk & merit (twice each) with no issues whatsoever.
Don't hem the skirt, this full maxi lenght is so nice and elegant yet with the slit on both sides it makes it playful with so much grace. Very inspiring video 👍
22:35 i’m sorry christina it was giving supermarket w the vest buttoned over the tshirt 😂 i think you were right to take off the tshirt! loved the first outfit though!! and so excited for the songmont sponsor; that luna bag is amazing and ive been eyeing it!!
I think adding Sharp as part of your 3 words has been a game changer with your outfits! They all look amazing on you!
Christina! Because of you I don’t even want to go shopping! I just want to dig into my closet and be creatively!!!! Mission accomplished 😘
You totally nailed the moto/cowboy look with the tube top. It’s so great seeing how something evolves to the “YES!”
Totally agree with what others have said about rescuing the moto boot look with the tube top. Giving more skin and pairing it with a darker color top creates a sleeker maxi dress effect, balancing out the chunkier moto boots.

I like this kind of video - start a series!

Love the content of this video. I appreciate the shop my closet episode for inspiration.
I love watching your videos so much. There is something so calming about all of them
Great video 🙂 it's very helpful that you showed entire process of re-creating outfits including having doubts and making adjustment
‘Love to buy, hate to wear’ - I’ve just realised that some of the items in my closet definitely fall into that category and a lot of the problem is that I’m not actually styling them. You’ve inspired me to have another look. Thank you !

That bag that you keep saying is bluish looks completely green to me 😊
Love the green boots look!😊

Absolutely love your intro outfit! Shopping your closet is a great habit to implement. Great video!
Cos skirt is great with monochromatic tube top and would be so cute with ballet flats in silver!
I think you looked really good in the red T-shirt outfit! 👍🏼
I loved that too. It's so distinctive.
Love these Pinterest inspired outfit vids, would love to see more!
LOVE these videos!!!!!! the COS skirt is RAD!!!!!
Love your old school videos. Miss them sometimes
This is so practical and useful info. You’re brave to show your style. Nice job.😊

Brown and navy are one of my fav combinations.
The bag works as a neutral as well as a pop of color…..! Not sure why or how that is possible…but it works.
Maybe I’m crazy but I think you look SO cool in the t shirt and vest! It strikes me as very 90s or even punk rock. Something about it feels original even though I know I’ve seen the outfit before.

The last pair of jeans looks the best on you. Cute outfit overall
Love your videos! Your pragmatism and passion about sustainable fashion is inspiring! ❤

Brilliant Christina! You really nailed the outfits! So inpirational! 😉
This is a wonderful video how you carry it out. Ima try it!
I think you nailed every outfit to YOUR style… I enjoyed watching the video!
Hi! Another nice video. A cool video or series idea could be "love to buy, hate to wear" and how you style those clothes.
I really loved this video. Inspired me to shop my closet. Yes! you can definitely get the same feeling shopping in your closet as you get shopping for something new on line or in a store. It’s so much fun! 😃 and very satisfying
Loved this video! Songmont is such a cool brand, I have a black Luna bag and have been wanting more bags from them!
This is a very good idea!! Love it!😻
I was definitely mentally going through my closet as you tslked through the outfits. Also, I was just waiting for you to elwear the vest on its own!
That tube top and skirt outfit with the boots is amazing! Love this video format- taking inspiration from photos and using what we have. Thank you!
Rocking the green boots! 🎉
I think the navy skirt length is great but maybe a tiny touch of tailoring to reduce the side volume? Just an idea, LOVE it on you!
I agree with you about the comfort of Sam Edelman heels.
This is my favorite type of video! Love it!
Great video! I’m one of the people who love your green boots!! Loved all the looks on you but look one was my favourite.😍😍😍
I liked this video very much, thank you, Christina ❤ feel inspired to create some warm weather looks now🤗. I think all the looks were a hit, but I especially enjoyed the red T-shirt and tube top look (both 😎) and also the green boots look is definitely among my favourites ❤.
My god I love that first outfit. I'm obsessed with the slim pointy shoe look, but so far I'm managing myself back until July
Great looks!
I loved the Pinterest photos and your interpretation using what you own!! ❤
❤❤❤yes love navy/blue and brown together with touch of red or even yellow❤❤❤
It‘s wonderful and I learn a lot!!! 🤩
Great inspiration, love it
Really enjoyed this video.
I loved this video! I think your outfit was better than the inspiration photo every time.
Love this video please do more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the last look. Kudos on the $20 patent leather croc boots from VV. Wow. Would love a video on your shoe inventory.
Loved it!
Love this video!!! Your opening outfit and the last one with the green boots 🔥 were my fav!!

Such a useful video, thanks for this type of content. I really like how the last outfit turned out. Very inspiring!
Great content Christina. I am loving your recent videos!!
So beautiful!! You look sharp in these outfits!!
Loving the long videos recently!
The uniform reminds me so much of my band uniform, in a dark middle school sort of way.

I'm looking hard at the Luna bag. The one you showed first. I'm seriously considering it
I want your green boots! 😄 Loved this video!
Another great video! Thanks for re-creating looks with existing clothes.
Have you tried tying your sweater cross body style?
You did good 👍
Love ALL the looks!❤
Love this channel even more!
This video🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 love!!❤

Use your white sleeveless with the skirt and boots
I’ve been thinking about the Sam Edelman shoes for ages. I’m so happy you said that they are comfortable. Do they fit true to size? Thanks. Will order them.
Those green boots 😍💚
A great video C ❤❤❤
I love these kinds of videos

Oh. China. I don't think I can get the purse now. Thanks for the review!
Oopsies

seeing some of the comments on this thread: i have purchased from lilysilk & merit (twice each) with no issues whatsoever.
It's unfortunate that many creators don't vet their products as long as the pay is right or it looks good on the surface.
Don't hem the skirt, this full maxi lenght is so nice and elegant yet with the slit on both sides it makes it playful with so much grace.
Very inspiring video 👍
This was great ❤!!!
Looooooveeeee iiiitttt!! Thanks for the inspo on inspo! 😁♥️
Look 1 is the best
Love these videos!
Excellent video ❤
Love the looks! Why are the Margiela ballet flats controversial?
THE GREEN BOOTS ARE JUST TODAY 😃😍

22:35 i’m sorry christina it was giving supermarket w the vest buttoned over the tshirt 😂 i think you were right to take off the tshirt!

Please tell me what brand sunglasses you were wearing in the 5th outfit? And style. I'm shopping sunglasses and fell in love with those
I like these kind of videos! 😍
Like the idea of the general feeling
Also think your skirts could be a little shorter
Should show the beautiful boots tiill the ankle.....
Enjoy ❤
Would you purchase the agency blazer even though it's no longer sold in wool?
That vest outfit is a big NO! Don't do that again😂😂😂 all the other outfits looked amazing🎉🎉😊
i think my words are
comfortable
eclectic
polished
This video was so much fun!!! I love this kind of videos and I always learn so much!!
