  • On April 8th, 2021, Stockton Firefighters responded to reports of smoke and flames from a building on East Miner Avenue. Engine 9 arrived on scene to a working structure fire in a commercial boarded-up building. This building had burned previously. Crews on scene worked quickly to extinguish the blaze in this unusually small building, keeping extension to a minimum.

    The Stockton Fire Department consists of 12 firehouses that protect 350,000 people- with just 51 firefighters on duty a day. Stockton Firefighters respond to 50,000 emergencies annually. This includes an average of one working structure fire a day.
