- The Stockton Fire Department is one of the busiest agencies in the nation. In 2019, Stockton Firefighters responded to 51,277 emergencies- including 313 working structures. The Stockton Firefighters Union - Local 456 - is dedicated to the community, raising and donating tens of thousands of dollars to local causes. This is the 2019 Stockton Fire Department Year In Review.

I have alway's been thankful for our Firefighters. I have been involved in two fire's. The first Was in the the late 1970's. I lived on the fourth floor in an appartment building. I, along with thirteen other apartments had been robbed. The police were there taking statements. The fire alarm went off and the Police Lieutenant and I went out the back enclosed wooden (great idea) fire escape. There was a fire in a box of mewspapers at the base of the stairs. I had just been assigned a position in a Sheriff's Dept. We flew down those stairs and put the fire out while it was still confined to the box. Scared the daylights out of us both. That appartment house was packed full of tenants. Less than twenty-four hour's later the building was on fire again. This time it was still in the basement but involved three full storage unit's. A fellow Sheriff's Deputy and I hustled the people out on our floor. The manager's appartment was on fire and they were trapped. We did get them out but they were burned. It turns out they were the one's to start the fire's because they were also the one's to rob everyone. The fire's were their way of covering up. It could have ended badly for all. The time it took our wonderful Fire Department to get to us was under two minutes. The last fire was on June 30 2018. My kitchen exploded and I was thrown across the living room. I was hurt and couldn't get up. My big German Shepherd started to pull me away from the fire. Long story short, we both died. The Firemen pulled us both out. They were able to get my heart started but not my dog's. My heart kept stopping and they kept working on me. I was Life Flighted across the state where I was in a coma for more than a week. I am alive because of the dedication and hard work of not only our Firefighters but everyone who never gave up on me. I was 63 at the time. It has been a very long hard road for me. My lungs were badly damaged and I have continued difficulties. But I am alive! Thanks to my Angels without wing's! Hero's every one! Sorry for the long story. It needed to be told. It takes a special type of person to do that kind of work. I love you all and pray for all of you. Thank you!!! 💖

Steven here, on the Clintonville rural fire department, a volunteer department in Wisconsin. I grew up in Sierra Vista projects or housing authority. What fire station covers Sierra Vista? Stockton gets a lot of respect for its greatness and efficiency in fire response. I learn a substantial amount from your videos and I’m glad to share a connection with you!

Detroit FD has three times more firehouses and 4 times more apparatuses.

Detroit has a population of 672,000 as of 2017 so.... twice as much as Stockton

I have no idea where you got your numbers, but they're way off dude. Try doing some research before looking like an idiot. Detroit ran over 165,000 runs in 2018, while the population is almost double (Detroit population 673,000 people). DFD also has 34 stations, compared to Stockton's 12... I don't see the purpose of your post. These Stockton boys are LEGIT & about as aggressive as they come.
