- If you want to see some pictures from the trip visit my website.
Hey all Norwegian learners!
The language I'm teaching is not Bokmål nor Nynorsk. It's an Oslo-dialect and I don't think you will have much problem with bokmål after this. :) And everyone will understand this.
I am Norwegian, from Norway. Born and raised. I live in Oslo, with my husband and two sons.

This video was very helpful Karin, can you make more videos like this ?, speaking full norwegian with subs ? it's the best way to understand norsk faster.
Hello! Absolutely. This is what I have been doing lately. If you have a look at this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PL3OGRL1vf55wBqfeckPc6c-eonoOxQN5i
or this: ruclips.net/p/PL3OGRL1vf55wxNrpNkLo3NqG_UtxP_nSG :D hope it helps! And thanks for the feedback !
Tusen Takk Karin, you're the best :D
Tusen takk Karin, du er best!
@@NorwegianTeacher Yep, it helps really good with subtitles; tusen takk for Videoer dine !
Your videos are so cheerful and give me a sense like I was with you in this beautiful Norwegian landscape :) Greetings from Poland!
That is very nice of you to say :D Mission accomplished :D
I've always wanted to visit Norway and explore its stunning scenery (both its cities and its rural areas)! Such a beautiful place with such a beautiful language! Your videos really help me with vocabulary and everyday expressions as well! Tusen takk!
videos like this are so helpful, thanks so much!
This is great. It is so helpful to be able to switch off the subtitles and just get a feel for how people actually speak; not just a word at a time, or an isolated expression. That was funny how the guy came up and said you helped him learn Norwegian, too!
Veldig hjelpsom! videoen dine hjelper meg å forstår norsk bedre. Mange takk!
Så flotte! Takk!

hey I love Norway. beautiful
oh wow, so weird to see you in Flåm! I visited last summer and I can vouch for the masses of tourists you spoke about. It was so weird seeing the huge cruise ship in this tiny village haha. Also, everyone squished into the
Flåmbanen that goes up to the top of the mountain was a bit of a letdown but the scenery was beautiful, naturally. We also did the downhill mountain biking (rallar) you were taking about - quite an adventure. Looking forward to more of your vlogs. :)
Cool to hear someone that has done all the stuff I was talking about! :D Thanks, I will be sure to make more vlogs :D
I remember visiting that small village because it was on the "Norway in a Nutshell" tour. I didn't have time to properly explore, which disappointed me. I had wanted to do some kayaking or something adventurous. That was about 5 years ago.
I've been there last year😍😍 flåm and the aurlandsfjord is the most beautiful place I've seen on this planet
+Jonas Hec so cool 😎
It's so funny to see you there ! I mean, I've come to Norway and to Flam this summer, and just before leaving France I watched some of your videos to learn some Norwegians words/verbs/sentences and now I see you where I have been ! I dont know why but It makes me smile a lot ! :))
Greetings from France ! :D
Btw, Norway is magnificent, people are so great, so kind, they are soooo altruistic (except when you're hittchiking haha) :
I recomand this country. One day I'll speak norwegian !
I was in Flåm a month and a half ago and it was soooo beautiful, the fjord(s) were absolutely stunning, luckily no one seems to visit norway in the winter so there weren't any crowds. I stayed at the Vatnahalsen Høyfjellshotell, I absolutely loved it they're and I've never seen so much snow in my life! I can't wait to come back in a year or two
Thats sounds magical! And yes, there is A LOT of people in the summer, at least in Flåm!
😍😍
Disse vlogene er supere! Mannen din snakker uklart :DD

Hi Karin,
Does your father still work at ægir brewery? I plan on going there for my 21st birthday in January!
i really wanna go to Norway and study there but it's very expensive
Jeg kan forstå ganske mye! @Karin I will be traveling to Norway in a few days and want to go hiking. Do you think many of the hiking trails will be open? How was the weather? Night-time is still freezing (near 0º C) so we plan on bringing our big winter coats.
Hei! :) I think lots will be open for hiking yes. Where in the country are you travelling? :)
Norwegian Teacher - Karin Oslo this weekend, then Geirangerfjorden, Sognefjorden, Bergen, Nærøyfjorden, Aurland/Flåm and back to Oslo next weekend. Basically lots of time hiking the Western fjords. We were hoping to hike Jotunheimen, but it is still covered in snow. And some tourist roads like Trollstigen are also still closed. We didn't do any planning before we bought the plane tickets. :p
A wise decision to drop Jotunheimen imgur.com/NqOzFQt
At around 1:57 you say "sier min mor". I am a little bit confused as to when I should use "min mor" and when to use "moren min". I thought "moren min" was the preferred way?
