    A perfect excercise which doesn't incorporate foreign language at all but teaches only by logic.
    The general speed of the lesson and repeated pronunciation of previous objects within it is great and gives the viewer time to go back 10 seconds for rehearsal with no stress and without giving them a sensation of loss of time or failure, if they go back.
    I'll keep coming back to these as I love them. They're easy but still challenging at the same time, in a way.

    Thank you for such simple but incredibly effective lessons. Your channel is a treasure. I will watch a video a day and this is going to be an amazing addition to my other practice. Repeating out loud after you makes it even more effective. This channel is so underrated.
    Most of teaching videos just list some thematic vocabulary, like for example "Norwegian colors" etc.
    Your way is natural and therefore much more effective and interesting. No translation, instead a comprehensive approach with visualization in a context. All needed pazzles for a successful language learning.

      So, my mental model for these is that they're purely for comprehension, not for production. In other words, if you can understand them fully at the speed that I'm going, then I've achieved what I wanted for them.
      My mental model for "production" is that once you've acquired the necessary words and structures, then the answer will just "pop out" on its own accord. Probably not perfectly, at first, but pretty effortlessly.

    Hello, I just discovered your lessons, great job, tusen takk! I have a question, could you explain to me please: en jente trekker en vogn - so, this "en" means that vogn is masculine, but jenta trekker vogna - in this case it's (vogna) feminine, right?

    • @bildeglimt
      @bildeglimt  5 месяцев назад

      In the written language "vogn" is allowed to be treated as either feminine or masculine in bokmål, but if you're writing nynorsk then it has to be feminine.
      Spoken dialects, though, are much more varied, and in Norway a dialect is never considered wrong-you just generally don't write in dialects.
      There's at least one dialect that doesn't have the split between masculine and feminine nouns. They call it "common gender", but in practice it's the same conjugation as masculine nouns in bokmål. So in this dialect they'd say "en vogn / vognen".
      Some dialects consistently use "ei vogn / vogna".
      Then there's the rest of us, who will sometimes say one and sometimes say the other, sometimes even in the same sentence (as here). I sometimes say "ei vogn" and sometimes "en vogn", but I (almost?) always say "vogna".

    Is it bokmål or nynorsk ?

    • @bildeglimt
      @bildeglimt  Год назад +2

      It's a bit complicated.
      The simple answer is that it's neither, but the dialect is close to bokmål.
      The more complicated answer is that in Norwegian there are two written standards, but there is no spoken standard. Everyone speaks a dialect, and all dialects are considered equally acceptable. On television and on the radio you'll almost always hear a mix of different dialects.
      The dialect that I use is known as "Urban East-Norwegian" which is the collection of dialects found in the area in and around Oslo.

    • @bildeglimt
      @bildeglimt  8 месяцев назад +2

      The answer to that is a bit complicated. Nobody in Norway speaks bokmål or nynorsk, because they are two different written standards, and they don't apply to the spoken language. Everyone in Norway speaks dialects, and there's no standard dialect.
      My dialect is very similar to what people in the area around Oslo speak.
