    Hi Mr. Khan. I am in 9th grade right now but am taking practice SAT's and AP® Courses. I am currently working on the AP® college computer science Course and Computer Programming. Thank You for the program. It amazing!!!

    Thanks for this good lecture. I suggest can you give us a lecture about the mathematical proof of Peng Robinson equation of state if you can in future . with my best regards .

    Fun question :)
    We know that the velocity of molecules is really high. e.g. RMS speed of an oxygen molecule is 539.2 m/s at 100 degree C.
    Then why does it take time to smell a bottle of scent at the other end of the room?

    • @Webster455
      @Webster455 4 года назад +1

      Because room temperature is 25°C

    • @TheScienceCube
      @TheScienceCube 4 года назад +1

      @@Webster455 Good attempt! But even at 25 degree C the speed of oxygen molecule is several 100 m/s. The reason that the smell does not hit our nose immediately is that the oxygen molecules tend to collide with each other so much that their forward movement gets severely curtailed. In a way they are like a bunch of people who can move fast on their own but they tend to collide with each other so much that their forward movement slows down significantly
