Merci beaucoup mon ami. I don’t know what Mozambique would have been today, had not this good man been murdered by Pide/Dgs. When l was student in Portugal, l learned a lot about him and others Africans student leaders in the 50’S who becomes the spear heads to overcome Portuguese colonial domination in Africa. Merci et excellente journée.

English language must not be used as parameter of intelligence. The intelligence are in the ideas not in the idioms used to express it.

People came from all over Africa, to fight in Mozambique, for FRELIMO. In fact, the present day president of Uganda fought for FRELIMO, as did most of the original high ranking NRA(National Resistance Army of Uganda, not to be confused with the American National Rifle Association). These later came back home through Tanzania to help topple Idi Amin, and later on Obote 2. So, Mondlane was a true African liberator.

He was a great leader. A good English speaker. If he was still alive, i am sure that the Mozambique people could be able to speak English like the late President Edoardo Mondlani.
