@10:00 what do you mean by this? would it be legal to use the csv to download the videos and upload the video elsewhere? I am trying to scrape the library to find good video ads and reupload them on my website
Yes. We only process the HAR file in your browser (so it's not technically ever uploaded to our servers) until you click the "Parse" button, which only sends the response data to our servers and never sends sensitive information like authentication cookies, etc... from the requests in the HAR file.
Thanks Joe! I would check on facebook.com/ads/library/ however I don't believe you can see these on the public ad library... they restrict you to only seeing the creative. The only way I know of to see the comments & reactions is to be lucky enough to spot the ad in the wild unfortunately.
This is a great video. You are smart! Maybe I understand maybe I don’t so this may seem like a stupid question. Is there a way to see exactly the data behind a competitors ad by seeing the exact ads interests? I know you mentioned the demographic to where in the world they are targeting to but how do we copy and see their interests? Is there another platform to do this on? Can’t this be done the way tou are showing? I wasn’t able to catch this question of mine here. Thank you
Thanks Ronnie! Unfortunately Facebook keeps this sort of "interest" level targeting private from other accounts... so whatever you can see on their ad library page is all you can get. If you work with an ad agency though, they may be able to provide more insight as they oversee multiple accounts and may have better answers and insights into competitors and other businesses' interest targeting.
Hi Cam! It's possible Facebook removed those fields, but feel free to try and see what you can extract out. You may also need to "click through" to individual ads to load the performance data. You can always reach out to our customer support if you feel stuck or something isn't working.
Love your content man! I took a look at your website and I have a question for you - Do I have a reason to believe instagram official API won't be deprecated anytime soon ? The thing is I have long term plans for using the api but I don't want it to suddenly stop working while doing so. Any reason to believe it's not going away anytime soon ? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
Thanks! There's no "official" Instagram API you can use for scraping... if you're referring to "unofficial" endpoints, then there's no guarantee they will work since directly accessing those endpoints may violate Instagram's Terms of Service, per our website's disclaimers - and they can stop working at any time without warning. However, you're encouraged to use the HAR file scraper as shown here as the best & most legally safe way to scrape Instagram data: ruclips.net/video/lQnSTeCOjXQ/видео.html

Is there a way to see a post with likes and comments from the ad library?
why not use the official api?
Nice video. Please do a demo on that API, great video.
Thanks, will do!
Please do!
afternoon,
How do I see how much the ad has spent, and is it also possible to see the CPC, CPM, CTR, or reach?
Thanks
Hey Stevesie, just wondering whether my data is safe when I upload a har file to your site.
Yes. We only process the HAR file in your browser (so it's not technically ever uploaded to our servers) until you click the "Parse" button, which only sends the response data to our servers and never sends sensitive information like authentication cookies, etc... from the requests in the HAR file.

Amazing content my friend! Keep going!
Note to myself: do not use a ring light when recording a video
The ring light is fine, just make sure you have ample fill or daylight with it... or else it will look like this :/
Realy nice ideas
Thank you! 😊
Hey, does this still work? It seems like the ad performance data is no longer available, or at least I couldn’t find it?
Hi Cam! It's possible Facebook removed those fields, but feel free to try and see what you can extract out. You may also need to "click through" to individual ads to load the performance data. You can always reach out to our customer support if you feel stuck or something isn't working.
