- Trev goes camping solo whilst Sue is away with friends for the weekend. Chillesford Church CL is a quiet little campsite right next to St Peters Church in the village of Chillesford in Suffolk.

Hello Trev, we stopped here a few years ago, as you mentioned, it is very peaceful. When we paid the site fees at the pub the chap said we shouldn't have any problems with the locals, they sleep most of the night!! Great place to explore around Orford.
The locals (living ones) were very friendly and the ones in the graveyard were sleeping peacefully so no disturbances there 😃👍🏻 Thanks for watching 🚐 Trev

Hi Trev & Sue, we loved this video. Love the idea of staying in a empty space close to a church that then benefits financially 💕. This looked like a very pretty and “back to nature” little CL. It definitely made us want to stay there! 🤪

There are some lovely CLs and CSs with the Caravan and Camping Club too. We have used quite a lot over the years and some of them now have just as many facilities as the big sites. Hope you get Koby sorted soon 😃🚐👍🏻 Trev
Looks like you had a very peaceful break, unlike Sue 😂. I’m not sure my nerves could cope with a graveyard at night 😱. I blame Netflix for that 😂
Haha yes I know what you mean. It was a very tranquil place and the graveyard seemed at peace and with nature too. The distant sound of the pig farm and the locals going about their daily lives was quite soothing so no need to be spooked by the deceased 🙂😉 Take care 👍🏻 Trev

Aww looks like she was having a great time! Good for her!! I love the church. Oh and the old cemetery. Tall grass or not, I'd have to explore that. Love the pews. And that gorgeous stained glass window. Looks like the building needs a bit of repair in some spots. What an interesting place to camp. I'd totally camp there and explore all over that church and cemetery. So awesome! I did enjoy. Very much so!

What a beautiful place these wonderful little churches so well looked after makes the UK special. Speaking of wild life do you still get your foxes coming at night.I looked out the other night in the back garden to see a badger and a fox sharing the food I put out. Badger comes every night now also.
That’s amazing news about the badger. We have a family of foxes that have two youngsters that tend to squabble over the food so we try not to put it out too late so they don’t wake the neighbours 🤣😃👍🏻 Trev

Well, how strange… we are going to this little CL tomorrow, just for the one night . Our two Daughters and their families are coming in their camper vans too. Glad to see that Bertie got in ok. I am getting used to tight manoeuvres in Meggie, now.. but was worried that it might be a bit too tight for comfort. Was the waste water point for grey and black waste? Hope that Sue had a lovely weekend too. x
Hi Teresa, yes the manhole lid lifts and both black and grey tanks can be emptied there. The guy comes to collect the money at 6pm each evening so don’t go to the pub with it. Keep moving on the Sandy drive and the slight slope to the CL is easy. Don’t stop on the approach though. It’s a great little CL with walks in Chillesford Forest right next door. Have fun 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
