- Dr. O discusses how dental crowns, veneers and fillings are not capable of getting cavities, the surrounding tooth structure is. It is important to brush floss and utilize fluoride in toothpaste and mouth rinse to help make certain that your mouth stays healthy.
I think that's AWSOME what your doing for that patient! 👍👍
Could you please make a video about the whole "root canals lead to toxic anaerobic bacteria poisoning your body" debacle?
i had a root canal today and I'm petrified that I just introduced my body to illness. thank you very much! your videos are real engaging.
I did. Check out the dental drive playlist. ;)
Watch the documentary called “Root Cause”. I wish we knew about this in 1995 back
None of my dentists ever told me at the time that I could still get cavities under my crowns… now I’m in a world of trouble, because decay was found! Is this their way of keeping you coming back for more dental work!?
what happened ? did you get it replaced? or something else
@@Brian-uz7po No, my alternative is getting new crowns, or extraction of teeth, replacing with either a bridge, expensive implants or worst case dentures! All procedures are extremely expensive and I can’t afford any of them! 😥
How long did you have them before getting cavities?
Aspiring dentist watching you from Puerto Rico. Love your videos!
Thanks so much for watching. You are going to rock it.
Is mouthwash a necessity? Seeing as how it kills ALL bacteria?
I think they are more prone to cavities when they just throw the crown on and call it good without properly cleaning the tooth.

Sometimes dentist didn't explained all the good, bad, and possibilities of any procedures, like RCT, fixed bridge, etc.. And sometimes didn't recommend what could be the best for their patient..
Yeah I think they do , my crown has weird taste and tender to bite on
Prevident 5000 toothpaste and mouthrinse Act.
I'm confused now, so root canal tooth need a crown to protect or what?
All my crowns and root canals put me in Hospital going Septic. Over the years pain and sickness couldn’t figure out why. Fast forward, now we know several teeth gone. Now, in 3 weeks, rest of teeth are all going to be pulled out and immediate dentures are going to be put in😔
Same thing happened to my dad. I will never get a root canal and will get all teeth extracted instead. So far I have lucked out and only have had the last lower molar tooth extracted.
I have a crown on my teeth but it's hurting some times and swollen and yellow pis on my jaw under my teeth please reply me
Do porcelain crowned teeth can be replaced with composite bonding or filling?
hello there which act mouthwash do you recommend there are a few ?
I had to have a crown replacement on a 13 yr old crown because I had some decay underneath my crown causing it to fall off! My dentist told me that may have been put on improperly and would have probably needed to be replaced anyways!!! I lost the original crown while eating I was so upset! I need more stuff done but yeah what’s left of the original tooth can still be susceptible to tooth decay
Hey can you pls tell me have you replaced your crown?
Fluoride is a neurotoxin
So I've been using the ClinPro 5000 that has 1.1% sodium floride, and Act mouth wash alcohol free. Is there an alternative to the super high price of $20 per tube of ClinPro? Crest, arm and hammer with fluoride?
Not that I am aware of.
Darn, well I guess the ClinPro twice a day is going to have to work! It may be expensive but you can't live with out teeth. Thanks for the great content and always looking forward to more videos!
Thanks John. Glad you are taking great care of your smile.
Can sloppy crown work cause cavities because a drilled spot is not covered and there the inner tooth is exposed where the enamal was drilled off. Can i find a very detailed dentist to do a better job of smoothing the transition for me??
Sorry to hear of your trouble. I would recommend getting another dentist to take a look at it if your current dentist can not confidently address your concerns.
Where is you clinic located?
Hi! Can I whitening my porcelain crown? Thank you
Unfortunately and fortunately porcelain crowns do not stain or whiten.
Thank you
So I am having the worst feeling around my crowned tooth (Top Right next to 3rd Molar). It’s May 2018 and I had the crown put on 3/2017. It hurts whenever I floss; irritation! No abscess, no bump. Feels like it’s pinching my gums. Hope I will not need an extraction!😰😭
It could be resin cement that was not fully removed when the crown was put in. I would go to your dentist to have them check it out. Best of luck.
Question, What is the meaning of resin cement?
Resin is really something that is used to chemically connect. (bond ) to the tooth.
Innovative Dental of Springfield ok thanks appreciate the reply 👍🏾
