Managed to squeeze in two Mewtwo raids on Saturday because Easter Sunday where I live is a HARD holiday (no stores open) and I had to do all my running around; caught a shadow 80-something and then blew the catch on one close to the floor.
I just wish the regular one would come back into raids so I could grind out candy/score one for mega-ing. Eventually.
And yes, Shadow Ball requires an Elite TM along with Psystrike. Be sure to use any TM if it's still March 31 and you have a shadow Mewtwo with Frustration!

It's Santa Monica Pier. It's a tourist attraction. I live in Anaheim. I can assure you, many, MANY gyms sat empty, with no challengers, this weekend. I'm sure they were packed at Disneyland, though!

Niantic doesn't own a calendar or care about family time....confirmed lol. Got 10 raids in and 1 horrible iv shiny. This needs to come back on a regular weekend or the mega raids. Yes not all celebrate but March was already jam packed so one could have carried over.

Saturday was my first Mewtwo raid event as I’ve only been playing since last year.
I did 19,000 steps, 10 raids, caught 5 shadow Mewtwo including two that were 14-15-14 and one of those two was a shiny. Properly happy with that result!!

I agree, it's ridiculous that they shoved this into Easter weekend. They could have chosen any other weekend in the Spring calendar. I crammed in a bunch at the end of Sunday night after family time, but still didn't get a shiny or any over 90%.

Wish there were ways to get friends or something to join these shadow raids even if it was like a specific level of locality - eg everyone in a suburb can remote raid but past say 15kms you can’t? Idk. But outside of South Africa (and I’m sure other places) it seems easier to accomplish these type of high level Pokémon in the game - because we just don’t have people to do local raids in the capacity they’re in

Congrats on the shiny! Did 70 Mewtwo raids myself with our community in the Netherlands and I got 3 shinies. but unfortunately out of all 70 Mewtwos, the highest IV I got was a single 91%. Times are rough. xD Keep up the awesome content!

11 raids on this busy weekend, more than I thought I would be able to do, but the results were crushing especially compared to some friends.
Of the 11 raids, one (2star) fled and the best of the rest was also just a 2star 2332cp. No shiny, no 3star...
A 1star and a 0star shadow Groudon didn't help to lift my spirits much. A cursed (shadowy?) weekend, it was!
Ended my weekend with a total of 70 Mewtwo raids. Drove all over the place with a few homies and had a great time. However the fact I only got 1 shiny leaves a sad mark on this weekend. Hope everyone's luck was better than mine. Also about 20 of them ran lol

Seriously, I want to recommend Downtown Riverside next time you guys want to capitalize on raids. Everything is in close vicinity. I did nearly 55 raids today. I got so many shadow shiny Mewtwos.

I got Shiny Shadow Mewtwo with 15/14/15 IVs. I think that is like 98%. I'm so happy. He is 4600CP now exactly.. ❤

I got mine on the 8th raid I believe and the only one to get it in my group yesterday.the mewtwo raids spawn pretty infrequently so we really only did like 12-15 raids yesterday since we stayed in our main grind spot.
Got a 98% shiny on my 7th and last raid attempt with only 3 people fighting it. So happy!

I walked over 40 KM just over the weekend for all the raids. I wish that the raids were not skewed towards the 6 am timeslots everyday especially on weekends.
Got my first mewtwo!! My first ever in person raids! I did 5 and got the shiny on the fourth raid!! I just started playing heavy in October 2023, but I’ve had my account since July 2016. GGs!
my mewtwo raid weekend went pretty well, i did 9 raids, no shiny, no excellent ivs, but i managed to pull off two duos on it with my brother so im pretty happy
Ended up going 2/14 on shinies. 8 weather-boosted. Two 3-stars. But I got lucky on the first raid of Day 2. I got a big/tall, shiny, weather-boosted 93% IV. Best one of the weekend for me. Pumped to finally have a shiny Mewtwo at all.

Got a 15/12/11 shiny shadow, which is probably my best IV one too (I do also have a 91% which is great but it has 14 in attack). So I'm happy with that. It was the last one I caught too lol.

I recently came back to PGO last week just cause. And not being able to raid for Shadow Mewtwo because no one plays near me is a reminder why I quit years ago. If this was remote raidable, woulda helped. And unfortunately, I’m not in an area that is being spoofed like where he is, I’m assuming at least all the raids he was in was spoofed. Super frustrating.
I can’t find enough people in my community to beat this guy so frustrating 😤
Should be easily doable with 6 accounts, we were able to take it down very easily with 8, using tyranitars and origin giratina

Somehow I managed to get in 1 raid only and got a shiny crazy, awesome vid btw!
Only able to get one at a six flag, after 2 failed attempts, but each one adding a new player (3 at first, then 4, then 5 on the winning attempt). Weather boosted 13/13/8, which considering this may be my only shadow mewtwo for a *long* while, I cannot complain

0-40 Saturday. luckily have 4 from last time. nothing above 91%. over 110 shadow mewtwos caught life time.

Mystic, really like ur videos and yesterday I've finally got my Shadow Hundo Mewtwo (yes, I know, it's so awesome), but I've encountered an unexpected issue: I'm already plagued with nightmares at the mere thought of accidentally purifying it.
Do you think you could suggest or even initiate a movement urging Niantic to implement a feature that prevents accidental purifications? My idea is quite straightforward and would be relatively easy for them to incorporate into the game: if a Pokémon is favorited, it cannot be purified, similar to how transfers are handled. It's such a simple solution, yet it would be incredibly helpful for us.
Same old problem different day never been to a shadow raid where there is a second person so can never do Shadow raids in my rural area. Thank you for excluding us in your game yet again

My dad n me went mewtwo hunting ,Shiny first try 3 star caught a total of 7 mewtwos , i was done on Saturday n celebrating easter right now with family.

One or two strong people with a few newbies in a party can take him down. Hard to get to a bunch of raids with people, but the ones we did were a blast - got through 5 of them over the two days.
My Shadow Mewtwo hunt went pretty good in my opinion, caught 7 out of 8 Mewtwo and I didn't get a 3 star but I got one with 15 attack which is what I was going for. I am still debating on taking it to level 40

I spoofed my location to do these raids. I mostly did it in NYC. I got a total of 4 shadow shiny Mewtwos. Best IVs being an 87% (11/14/14). i did like 50 raids in NY. Best IVs for non-shiny Mewtwo was 2 93%. I also had one where i purified it for the hundo but im only doing it to one
First draw was a Shiney. Got 2 shineys 5 non. No hundos! Still had fun. Love the videos.

So to sum up the raid weekend for me. I did 16 raids:
I got a 98 iv shadow mewtwo, a 96 iv shadow mewtwo, a xxs 3* shadow mewtwo,
And I didn't get a single shiny while a lot of people around me did.
Definitely was heartbroken about that, but considering that I already have a shiny mewtwo back in pokemon violet and the fact that I didn't suffer from hay-fever like I did earlier this week (and the fact I got a shiny zygarde from dynamax adventures minutes ago from this comment's publication.) I'm not complaining.
Got to do 21 Mewtwo raids, got the shiny on number 21! Battery life was at 5%, so it was the absolute last raid I could possibly do as well, it was crazy! I'm so happy :D
came back last year after not playing since like 2019, never got a mewtwo back in the day, but managed to get a 13/13/13 and a 15/13/13, and a shiny that has bad IV's but still a shiny. completely makes up for how screwed i got with kyogre and groudon recently. real challenge now is trying for that shiny zorua.

Went around my city on the Saturday for a bit (I’m fairly rural), only 4 raids appeared in 3 hours and I couldn’t find a single other person doing raids…
Got my 3rd shiny shadow MewTwo today (2 last time). But more importantly, I got a 91% IV. But honestly, I spent the weekend grinding out XL Candy to level 50 my 89% IV from last year.
It was a major win for me.
I think I did like 25 raids this weekend, no shiny, I did get a 96% IV so that was huge for me. Fortunately, my 5yo got the shiny after 13 raids on the first day, that's all he wanted.

It went well, I'm apart of a Lake Worth raid group and we drove around 12 to 15 cars deep and did about 25 raids per day. Best I got was 96 and my son got a 98! We only got one shiny though and stats sucked...
I did exactly 100 raids with more than 20+ people all over our city. I got 2 shiny's, two 93's, and two 91's. Not a single one that's capable to purify into a hundo. Wasn't that great and its becoming increasingly difficult to believe its 1/20 odds.
