This song was recorded after Phil done Out in the Fields with Gary Moore - it shows he had a great range and was well able for different styles . This song would have done very well if released . RIP Philip .. A True Rock Legend !

On the 70s Lizzy albums he could really hit amazing high notes ("Sweet Marie", "Old Flame" and others). The drugs and bad health messed up his voice in the end (always sounded like he had a cold).
God I love his voice in this. I feel he rarely sang this high idk something about it is different but I love it. He woulda made great music no matter the genre or era

Yes its all of the News band.. Huey who Phil helped and mentored in the mid 70's who actually plays harmonica on Thin Lizzy Baby drive me crazy off of Live and Dangerous... Anyway Huey had invited Phil out to LA which is where this is recorded. He convinced Phil to go back to singing at a higher tone as he did in his early days. Huey felt he could still do it and push Phil in the recording studio to achieve that tone. Huey didn't like the lower tones that Phil was singing. They recorded three songs.
