Yeah. Sinn a truly male piece of horology. Knifes and mechanical watches are probably the coolest things to collect. They won't make you more man. They don't make your balls bigger, decisions smarter, muscles harder, leadership more obvious or your appeal sexier but they kinda make you feel the way it all happend ;)
I just unboxed my new Sinn 104 white dial matte finish today. I just love it. I didn't notice the font change on the bezel until you pointed it out. I just love the instant day/date change. I've not had any watch up until now that did that. Stunning watch, can't stop staring at it.
Hi Steve, just “surfing about Sinn watches “105 UTC model” and there’s not much of a reviews about that model ! Then I saw this review about the 104 Sinn white dial ( have the black dial 💯 🔝) and I went and listened to the man who’s making the review so I missed the hat that the out side of the cristal is AR coating and if you are not careful with your Sinn it will get “scratches” in the AR outside coating just a little one ☝️ to you mate 😎, by the way like your review a lot very concise and sharp no fancy bla bla bla 👍, all I’ve to say is wish I’ve bought a Sinn 5/6 years ago ! For sure would have the Sinn kind of “Navitimer” instead of my Longines hydroconquest Chrono, plus bought the UTC instead of another Certina DS Action Powermatic 80 and then the new U1 model sandblasted grey version instead of my Squale 50 Atmos ! The others in my humble collection will be very much frustrating about this cool and fantastic brand ! All the best with your 104 Sinn ! Wish you all the best with your new Sinn ! 🙌
Yes! I bought the bracelet in Frankfurt as well, on the last day of my last trip to Germany six years ago. I'd bought the watch a few days earlier in Saarbrücken, but they didn't have any bracelets available. Got comped a very nice Sinn coffee mug from the lovely ladies in the shop, too! I'll never forget how beautiful that area looked, all these old buildings, and so early in the morning that the square was almost deserted. Thanks for triggering a great memory. Still wearing my 104 over 60% of the time after all these years, though usually on various Barton straps now...
I’ve been really keen on adding a Sinn to my collection too and it also could pretty much be a one watch collection - the Sinn 556 A (A for Arabic numerals), giving it a bit of an Explorer vibe, plus with the smaller case size. What’s also amazing about these watches is how much the two bracelet options completely change the character of the watch. The brushed H link makes it look totally like a tool or instrument, yet you add this fine bracelet and it dresses it up enough to be a lot more versatile.
I like the green lume. I think it adds color to the dial. I have the black dial and my Sinn is one of the big three favorites in my collection along with an Oris Aquis and a Seiko SBDC109. The dive bezel on my Seiko "Willard" aligns perfectly by the way.
House RN I can’t disagree with you there at all. The black dial is such a clean, classic timepiece that is never the wrong choice for any event. I’ve heard great things about the Willard, too. How is the aquis?
@@KnifeWatch I have a smaller wrist and I got the 39.5 Aquis, but now I feel like it might be too small for me. I'm always impressed when I look at it. It's high quality for sure. The modern styling is awesome too.
1🤯🤯% I've been wearing a sunburst grey 104i St Sa for 1 yr. now and TBH never noticed the bigger even numbers on the bezel. Now that it's been pointed out, I cannot un-see it. The first four mins of this video have me questioning my whole existence 🤷🏼 I got my 556i RS literally TODAY, and now am already thirsting for that white 104 🤤💸
Black 104 St Sa near daily driver for 6 years...and this is the first time I noticed the font size difference! That's either a testament to really good design, or I'm oblivious! I'll stick with the first option!
@spud13x13 Can be both, lol, but I'm leaning toward the 1st choice. It got past me, too, in a good way. Nice choice on the of black, BTW. So versatile. I got the white 104i and yeah, it's pretty much taken over by default due to the versatility of being mostly white w a touch of black. The sunburst grey is a beauty though, too (but just kinda makes me think I shoulda got black 🤷🏼).
No doubt, a great watch. My bezel/chapter ring is slightly off. Like you, I bought mine used. I need to find out if something like that is covered under warranty. Otherwise, once my OCD kicks into high gear, the watch will have to go. Then the search begins anew... again.
Wow I have never heard of that issue. Definitely find out if they can do something about that. I would at least contact WatchBuys.com, their US Authorized dealer who is super helpful with questions. If you’re looking to find another piece, happy to help you on your search! Thanks for watching, my friend.
@@KnifeWatch I sold the watch and got another one from WB. This time, it was the white dial, indices and red seconds. LOVE IT! Plus, the slightly green lume makes strap choices easy and it keeps people from staring at the spinach stuck between my teeth.
mr bacchus yes definitely a strap monster that shines with anything. I haven’t tried it yet I bet those polished edges would work great with a polished hardware NATO or chevron. I’ve had it on a green chevron NATO strap and was very pleased
David Williams seems to be a lot of people who go through that conundrum. It’s a win win because they hold their value should you want to flip it to try another.
Love my 104 2019 LE green metallic dial with the Arabics on a green leather rally strap rather than the bracelet which I would wear if it was my only watch (and it could be) but have 15 other pieces in rotation based on weather, mood, tasks for the day, etc.
You know, Arik, I totally relate to your feeling. I almost wish I had not one other watch sometimes so this Sinn could get the wrist time it deserves and I know I’d be completely grateful and satisfied. However, our curiosity gets the best of us at times. That’s a gorgeous piece and with that rally strap I’d love to see what it looks like. Feel free to email a picture to knifeandwatch@gmail.com
I'll say save the money to get the Sinn and you will avoid what I did - going through several microbrands and cheaper Seikos/Hamiltons and taking a loss in every trade or sale, this Sinn would have saved me more money in the long run lol.
60 click bezels use ball bearings as opposed to ratcheting so more expensive to make. thats why microbrands dont make them. also, oris is half the watch for twice the price IMO
I bought the sinn 104 several years ago and love it. I’m not a collector and wear this daily. It definitely has a break in period - nothing odd, but the accuracy improved after about a month. My only gripe is that it’s spring does not store much more than 24 hours. So i have to keep it wound or reset if I don’t wear it over a weekend.
@@KnifeWatch Blue. Thank you I call it the quiver killer because its so good. the last two months it has gained one second. Never experienced a movement like it. I have a very small collection never more then 3 watches but this one can be the only and I would be fine.

I like it so much I have the white, black, and blue dial versions!!
The 104 is an iconic watch.
I agree 100%! It’s the #1 selling watch on WatchBuys.com
Thanks, would like to see a "brushed" version of the 104. For me, difference between "jewelry" (polished) and "tool" (brushed/bead blasted) watches.
When it was still possible in September, I went to Frankfurt just to buy this bracelet for my 104. A real stunner.
It’s very serious bracelet. Underrated and understated.

Great video. I've literally just sold an Aquis and bought a black 104! Cannot wait for it to arrive.
My favorite feature is the day in both English and German. And mine has a red second hand on the white face. It looks amazing.
Really cool review. Thanks for sharing some different thoughts than the bog standard reviewer countdown of the specs.

How did you get that bracelet? I'm trying to find it to buy but have no clue where to find it. I just have the standard metal bracelet.
Here's something else that you may not know, the end links for the bracelets fit both the 104 and the 556.

I did the same as you, bought this exact watch and added an h link later. And even though I own this I didn't know a couple of these facts.
We both did it backwards yet I’m glad I wasn’t alone haha. How do you like it with the H link? Grateful for you stopping by to watch the video!

Only 60 clicks sounds like a terrible idea. There's a reason 120 is the norm
hey mate. how big is your wrist?
Between 6.7 - 6.9 inches
I prefer the white over the black dial. Looks classier and more unique to me.
Do the links have pins or screws?
Hex screws
