    Never cut water or sodium for decades they called me crazy. I figured it out at a young age. I always looked better after my weekend eating after a show. so I just did that before the show :) Great info.

    Yup. Competitors that are dehydrating while simultaneously trying to "fill out" are all too common. These coaches are sending their clients to the hospital...

    All 100% quality prep-week information for nattys; don't do anything super dramatic nutrition-wise and accept that you'll already look 95% of your stage potential several days out. I think the reason why we believe in such drastic dietary changes in water, sodium, and carb intake during prep week is because of how open bodybuilders on gear prep. In their case, water, sodium, and carb intake does go through drastic changes as the various amounts of drugs they utilize in prep-week dramatically impacts bodily homeostasis.

    The best thing you can do for peak week is be peeled as fuck a week before and then you don't have to worry about anything.

    Hello Layne. I think it will be a banger if you and Dave Palumbo debate on some topics. He is also very informative. But one thing I can say is he has a different principle than you but that works too.

    Your the fuck best, and your knowledge is mad. I'm competing for the first time by myself with the assistance of your books. I've been prepping for 20 weeks and lost 30lbs and gain muscle; 30% bf to 20. I'm still holding fat in the lower body, but I have 12 days until show day. Regardless your shit is top of the line, and thank you for being you.

    It never made sense to me for people cutting water. That is what the muscles are mostly made up of. Seems like common sense? Seems like great advice to me to NOT cut water. It also seems like it is used as an excuse for just being too fat...I was holding water. I was flat and needed more carbs (where you just too fat or do something stupid like cut water?)...

    How do you define a low sodium diet? What do you recommend daily sodium intake should be for a woman that trains 6x/week?

    • @NirlepAdhikari
      @NirlepAdhikari 7 лет назад

      That usually depends on your baseline. If I am consuming 2000 mg of sodium on my normal days than 1500 mg would be low sodium diet for me. But never go low sodium because you become more sodium sensitive.

  • @bo6177
    @bo6177 6 лет назад +1

    👍 all true science, best way is to see how an individual reacts to certain principles...some might react a Little differently .... so coach tweaks it.. a Mr. Olympia friend of mine for a decade reduces sodium by 70% three days out and it works well for him... for some other people it’s one day out.. every one reacts a little different to the best most executed science

    Just saw this video and I have to say I 100% disagree with u but I'm not surprised, I disagree with u on a lot of issues. Dont cut sodium and water on show day or night before, never heard of this. Ur textbooks dont relate to real world. Did Arnold have trouble getting a pump? Not at all, Man u try to change all beliefs, not cool. Dave Palumbo embarrassed u, and I even felt sorry for u on that video. Old School left u speechless.

    What a stupid analogy.
    Dead muscle tissue, meat, is still made up primarily of water, but is soft because it is dead, and therefore as relaxed as it can be!
