I made myself an almost similar hitch but with just one hinge instead of two like this video.
With my little Madass 125cc motorcycle I tested with the rear wheel and the front wheel and it's day and night. Very stable with the front wheel. I think it is because of the tilt angle of the fork that it is very unstable and dangerous with the rear wheel. I had the scares of my life during my road tests. I would have liked to support the rear wheel to prevent the chain from rolling, but it's impossible with my bike.
I highly recommend this hitch you will not be disappointed. I would like to have an identical one but I can not afford it. Good road
Bonne Route.
if you drive for a long period of time and a far distance, is there a chance to create a flat area on the front wheel, the same area on the front tyre is always under load, causing a very even wear on the middle piece. Has this been tested?
In our experience there is 80% less wear because it's free rolling with no rider weight, braking and cornering forces applied to it. Also, rear tires generally wear out faster than front tires.
I'd be concerned that some fully faired bikes facing backwards would scoop too much air and possibly damage the bodywork. Would depend on how much wind is being blocked by the car/truck/van I suppose.
Don’t go faster then 70mph a decent road bike can easily hold on to its fairings.
Remember. Max cap is only 600lbs too
We have never experienced this after towing a bike using MoTow. Thanks for your interest.
car's aerodynamics will cover it..
I have an 883 sportster and jeep cherokee , can i use ur motow to haul since its heavy
Sorry for the delayed response, your Sportster is under the 600lb weight limit, so the MoTow Tow Hitch will work perfectly!
can i use front wheel to tow ?
No it’s not designed for front wheel towing
*When I'm quietly reading the Motow replies, I'm doing it in the voice of the video's voiceover actor.*
Thats funny. The replies are from a woman.
How much weight goes into the hitch itself? lets say a 100lbs dirtbike to keep it simple. Cars like mine have a 200lbs tongue capacity
Roughly 50% of the bike weight is in the tire cradle.
Where do i buy one

Look forward to having you as a customer!
What are the laws for brake/ turn signals when towing the bike?
Your vehicle lights are not obstructed when towing with MoTow
@@MOTOWus yea, kinda worried about some kid plowing into the rear end of the bike.
@@SirShoddrick No one can predict the future, there’s no escape from whatever’s going to happen
@@MOTOWus that’s correct. I’m retired Army, so I’ve got that ounce of prevention/ pound of cure mentality ingrained.
@@SirShoddrick Yes absolutely we do too. Safety is our #1 priority. We provide the reflective flags now and there have been no issues with thousands of customers. A light kit is in the works as a future accessory but finding a US manufacturer has proved difficult so far.
It looks like a good device, but a better video on how to load or unload the bike needs to be done. It just shows how it work and by segments. (Sorry but boring)
There’s a tutorial video on our website motowus.com under How It Works
Shut up and take my money!!!
