And he clearly lost his momentum when he went off at a crucial time & it’s not easy to get it back when you’ve got get back out there again at the limit in qualifying unlike the race where you can back off now & then. That’s what I meant, it’s natural to doubt someone when they’ve just made an error at an intense time.

In a fast moving qualifying session when suddenly everything you’ve built up for is set back to 0 & body is pumping adrenaline (he was breathing heavily all way to the end of Q3) I’d say that is a loss of mojo/momentum, he admits it so who are we to argue. You’re not thinking of “oh well I’ll do well in the race instead” mid way through Q2 when you have another lap left to get into Q3.

Like it was for Lotus, Ferrari, redbull or Renault.... That maked the f1 more enjoiable to watch cuz more team was able to invent or catch up in various way.... This is just a joke, letting a team that is so ahead in certein things for so long to let it win the 90% of the gp since 2014 it's a joke and an insult for the people that watch this sport (becouse is thanks to us that they can exist)... • @johnmiller6274
      @johnmiller6274 4 года назад +13

      luuiiniii Ok. What is making Mercedes dominate then? Can you point to one thing like the ridiculous pace of the F2004 when allowed to burn through tires and stop for new every 10 laps? FIA banned fric suspensions which Mercedes used to great effect. That did nothing. Oil burning much more limited than before? Ferrari engine most affected. FIA changed the formula to become more aero focused in 2017 because of Mercedes engine power advantage. Mercedes kept winning anyway. Mercedes is one of the top 3 teams who spends the most money. Ok 2021 rules to limit spending. Is that going to finally end Mercedes? Maybe, but they’re so well oiled that it looks like it won’t.
      Honestly, Mercedes right now is like Red Bull back in the early 2010s. FIA changed many rules back then to try and stop Red Bull from winning but they kept winning anyway. People thought that Red Bull would win in 2014 before the season started because they were so perfect back then. Everything seemingly worked so well together. There was nothing you could point to that was solely responsible for Red Bull’s domination. Engine slightly down on power? Red Bull’s aero would compensate for that. Turns out, it’s an engine heavy formula where Red Bull is at least 50 hp down(mostly due to Renault’s incompetence and pride) that would end the domination.

    • @luuiiniii
      @luuiiniii 4 года назад +2

      @@johnmiller6274 well I'll not be here on my chair if I was able to know what component makes an F1 car go fast... I don't think any of us can.
      I can just see that the first year of changing was the 1 that u said with the more aero stuff (first year where just Ferrari had the pace ti beat them but failed for many reasons) last year Ferrari managed to catch Merc engine (probably using some fault in the regulament) but FIA with that secret deal probably banned it this year giving back the best engine scepter to Merc... I repeat I'm not an engenier so I can't say if a certein brake sistem or little flap or something that they have makes the car go faster, but they have it, and for the love of the show I would've let Ferrari use the last year engine... Was a step ahead that the FIA blocked.
      And I repeat, not blaming the ability of Merc and not saying the FIA what to do to change tings... But they surely knows, they always did when they wanted, it's their job

For example in the first couple of slow corners before the long straight he has wheelspin and has to countersteer, you only hear the high revving engine after he did the countersteer. Or at the last slow section of the lap, he’s already passed the apex long ago and only then we hear the throttle.
      Edit: okay I’m not so sure, you can definitely hear the curbs at the right time and where he hits the grass it seems to be on point.

      @@jacquesduplessis8944 Interesting bias given that when it's convenient people like to call the FIA: Ferrari International Assistance for some of its questionable decisions in the past.
      Maybe Ferrari made power illegally by tricking the fuel flow sensor... Hence the 2nd fuel flow sensor now on every car on the grid who's signal is encrypted so the teams can't see its data...
