Having proportional controls on a RC car like this is a definite bonus. The model itself certainly has some novelty value and is nicely detailed plus it has a quirky sort of appeal even to hardcore RC enthusiasts (well those with plans to see how crazy they can mod it anyway!).
That Green reminds me of a 60's VW Van with the white and Seafoam Green. The only Green I like. Looks good on cars, well some cars. I gotta get me one of these.
An RC Sunday Cup with these sounds like a blast, I might have to start something up like that where I live, they’re cheap enough to where entry for competition won’t be too steep
I don't have the d12 (yet), but I do have the d32, and i have to say it's the best cheap RC i've ever had. The quality and control it offers is beyond my expectation. The only down side is the lack of a rear diff, which makes the turning less predictable. So I put Tamiya Mini4wd one way wheels in the rear and the turning is now butter smooth. I also put on their soft diameter slicks on all four wheels for extra grip. And of course, i made mine 2s. A 450mah just fits. It's super fun to drive inside the house because of its small turning radius. Much cheaper and durable than mini z for indoor driving.

I kept trying to figure out what the track reminds me of and it finally came to me. Vauxhall used to have a little VXR Racing flash game on their website and it is almost just like one of those tracks
Steering minds me of them ugly micras that came out u passed my test in about 20 year ago lol the Steering on them things was crazy it was like the wheels actually turned a 90 deg angle so easy to park that thing lol
So the packaging should handle all that Evril (the none! god messengers) kick, drop, dance on, throw at it. Those Mini RCs would be ideal! for indoor-outdoor races on things like; running/riding tracks or bowling greens if the golden-Agers allowed it 👍🖖
They look proper cool, as a comparison for the small stuff, could you put them next to a scalextric car, i know the “scales” are different but possibilty of runnig them on a slot car track/club??

Agreed! Back in the early 80’s I had an “expensive “ 1/10? Porsche racer from Tandy (Radio Shack UK) fully proportional, rubber slick tyres, working diff, suspension etc but by the time you filled it with 4AA and 6 D cell batteries the thing would barely move…. I upgraded to a Tamiya SRB Ranger (wish I still had it!) and the difference was astonishing at the time even though you had to charge for 17 hours before 6 minutes run time 😂
