I see you decided to purchase a trailer instead of reworking your truck bed. I think you'll be happy with your choice. You made out like a bandit with those 3-point hitch mowing attachments. It's always nice when you get out the scoop shovel and broom because you know the job is nearing it's end. As being a subcontractor on that demo job, you represented the contractor as doing quality work.
@@bobber55 I did get a trailer, but it was only because the right opportunity came along. I’m still thinking about how to make it possible to get equipment up in the truck reliably. It’s so handy for jobs like that demo job to be able to leave the trailer at home. Other times it’s really handy to be able to take a machine and extra attachments. Everything has its place I think.
Hi Zach, good thing that you had the mini Excavator to load that red mower attachment in the bed of your truck. You needed the extra reach from the bed of the trailer. At least when you got it home you were able to unload it from the side panel coming down. It is a clever design to assist loading and unloading heavy objects. I always appreciate that no matter what job you are tackling you always keep a positive attitude and explain your thought process to get it done efficiently. That Single Car Garage didn't seem like it was anchored very well in that as soon as you touched it with the bucket the whole garage shifted. Good thing they took it down when they did.
Thanks man. For my own experience and the experience of others around me if discovered the positivity is way better than letting the negative bits of the day get to you. The garage was really wobbly. I think it was primarily due to a bunch of decay. It looked like a lot of boards had rotted off inside
Nice little Score there Zach! I like that International dump truck. Our state DOT guys have been running the IH for as many years as i can remember. I guess they must be durable!
@@johnsmith-wd5sq Thanks John! If you’re talking about the truck, I think international is good enough for what I do. Maybe not the prettiest, but it does what it needs to. This truck has a Cummins engine in it. It’s a 2009 so I would have never considered purchase if it had an international engine.
Nice work Zach. having watched this though I wonder if you maybe parked the truck and trailer and walked into the property and just didn't show us? Maybe I'm wrong and maybe nitpicking here but looked like maybe you could have headed into the location and turned around and would've been headed out. Would've made loading easier and faster. Come on inquiring minds want to know? As always stay safe buddy.
@@ClellWise I looked it over on Google maps and determined that there wasn’t a reliable way to get turned around. It was just a residential property, not a farm or anything. The tow bill for 40,000 pounds of truck and trailer and machine is pretty hefty so I ended up with what we saw in the video. I wish I could have filmed myself backing in. It was a mess. The traffic situation was fairly dangerous and it was more important to me to protect the public than record 😅
Zach, you're lucky you don't have a large property. If it was me, those 2 mowers would sit at my yard for years, or I would end up buying the adapter from skidsteer to a 3 point adapter even though I already have 2 hydraulic mowers. Nice small demo job. Hopefully, you charged them full day rate.
@@robertvannicolo4435 haha, the thought crossed my mind and I definitely looked into what it would take to run that brush hog on my skid loader 😂 it wasn’t a great piece of equipment, so I thought it might be best to move it along
@ is the blue diamond stuff worth it? They’re always at the top of the price pile, but I haven’t really seen anything that’s made me think they’re worth it.
Zach very well built compared to the Rhino/alamo 72in high flow I absolutely destroyed. Deck was thin gear box casting that broke, and the shaft sheared off and would never buy another one from them. Also, have an ambusher low flow bought new has been very dependable also.
@ oh wow, sounds like that thing fell apart on you. That’s how it is though anymore. Gotta buy the good stuff just to find something that’ll last under normal conditions

The building? I suppose it could be that way. It would definitely require way more time.
