    Great Video! Thanks!
    Just bought a pair of Evolves and was tossing up between the slip on cover or the rolling case.
    Will be getting the latter, thanks again!

      Val Beccia what’s cool is that you still have the option to use a rolling cart if needed. Simply lay the cases in their side and you roll large setups in on the cart (if needed) and then roll these to a remote cocktail area or something. Or for small gigs where not a lot of gear is needed you can just roll them in independently. I do wish they had a larger side pocket for longer XLR wires. 🙂 Enjoy.

    Can I ask u if the Evolve 30m is just as good?
    And which do u prefer?
    My gigs are usually. Less than 125 people..or around 125 people max..
    U have a great travel tutorial here...
    Are they thumping? Do they do a good job indoor as well as outdoor?? Good bass? How's the sound quality?
    Oh! How much for two?
    Thanks rachel sorry I asked a lot of questions..
    But its just because u DA BOMB! lol... and thankyou for this tutorial.
    You always showcase stuff and explain it clearly and concisely with nice pace u never rush through ur stuff. Thanks thanks thanks...

      Bryan Calhoun for any DJ application beyond a ceremony or cocktail speaker I would recommend the the 50s over the 30M. I think it’s important to have the headroom. What I find great about the Evolves is that they don’t throw sound as far as a traditional top does. So it allows you to keep the sound centralized on the dance floor and people can still chat and socialize elsewhere around the room.
      Unfortunately you just missed a sale, they were $150 off. One EV50 is about $1,300 give or take a little.
      Find me on Facebook. I have a video there you’ll find helpful that will answer a lot of your questions. 🙂
      All in all the evolve 50s are perfect for crowds 50-150 people depending on the size the room and area of coverage you need.

      @@DJRachelLynch I'm now a very happy new owner of a pair of white Evolve 30Ms and they sound and look awesome. The Evolve 50s certainly have a bigger sound in every way as is to be expected considering their larger footprint and higher price, particularly the Evolve 50M. I really wanted a pair of Evolve 50Ms but I simply couldn't justify their huge price increase as compared to the Evolve 30Ms. As a musician, the Evolve 30Ms will be perfect, particularly their more compact, lighter footprint. You're videos are excellent. Keep up the great work!

    Rache, your videos are so awesome. So detailed, you hit the important aspects, video work on point, and you speak so well and the camera loves you. I’m shopping and it was between the 30m and Bose L1 Pro 16, but now I’m looking at the 50m, would love to have the 180 range of the Bose, but other than the fabulous sound the design with the columns is garbage and sloppy. I’m finding that EV is superior in many ways. Trying to decide by Black Friday.

    If I am spending over 4-500 for something it always gets a case or cover. I have my first set of EV's I bought like 7 years ago that have been all over and they still look brand new. Even minor bumps going through a door or a cable smacking against it can add up over time if not protected.

    These are nice cases, much better than the slip covers I have on mine now but I use a Rock n Roller extendable cart which allows me to do one trip in one trip out. With these cases, controller, table, bin of cables and lights seems like you'd have to do multiple trips.

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  5 лет назад

      Ludwig Alvarez these are good for a few things. Today I did a gig at a gym. I only needed to bring one of these speakers and a bag with my laptop, wires and Roland 707m. No cart needed. Everything came in with one trip. Also if you are using a cart due to a lot of gear at large events, these are great for rolling a speaker to the cocktail hour or the outdoor ceremony where you wouldn’t want to use your whole entire cart. They have their place. 😀

      Hi Manny! Thanks for stopping by the channel to check this out. I use my Evolve 50s for about 80% of all of my events. They are AMAZING and probably the most versatile speaker I own. I do however bring bigger speakers for larger events if needed. I think a DJ should bring the right tool for the right job. These are great for average sized events and venues, but sometimes I need a little extra. That’s when I bring my ETX 10p tops and ETX subs.

  • @DominicCarterTV

    Does this case break down (crumple) when no speaker inside? one thing I liked about the regular cover/zipper cases that it can tuck away under your DJ table etc. But possibly may just have to repack in car when not in use? More concerned about space in the home - would love to tuck away in my closet

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  3 года назад

      These bags are soft but firm and keep their shape. They do not crumple up. They are slim and would be fine to put in a closet.

    Do the rolling cases with the tops actually fit through a normal door or do you have to take the sticks off to have them fit? It looks like from your video, you had them off to get through your own door.
    Thanks

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  2 года назад +2

      Simply rotate the case if that’s a problem. 😉 It fits through any door.

  • @erniejade
    @erniejade Год назад

    My cases ripped after a year of every Friday and Saturday use. The zippers I feel need work to have them reinforce. The wheels don't even roll over carpet with the sticks on top. I was hopping they would come out with an updated version with better wheels and again, a better zipper but, so far no luck on that. For the price of them, I would have hopped they stood up better for me.

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  Год назад

      Sorry to here this! As an update with mine, the only thing that has ripped is the belt buckle that hold the tops. Those straps have torn off and some of the paint has scratched off the telescoping handle. My cases are in great shape otherwise. I will say the small wheels hate gravel and grass, but it’s nothing someone couldn’t swap out for larger wheels. Appreciate your update on them. So far mine are still working out for me. I heard these are discontinued…🤔

      Itsa Me DJ Mario the EV Evolve 50 system I PERFECT for crowds 150-250 (depending on the size of the room. Don’t let the compact size fool you. This is absolutely not just a cocktail hour system.
      This system has great coverage and full clear sound. This EV system honestly covers 80% of my mobile Dj needs. I do have other speakers available if I need more sound but I think you’d love these for your average wedding or party.

    • @PrinzII
      @PrinzII 5 лет назад +1

      I just checked these speakers out in the flesh. Rest assured, these speakers have enough kick that the management of the store I was testing the Evolves in made me turn things down.
      Sound quality is definitely above a cocktail speaker. It handled a bass-heavy House track with no problem.

    So, I've been using my Evolve 50s for about a year now but have to say that the case just isn't holding up. The zippers are nylon and they have broken; the wheels are too small for the weight so when you roll over anything slightly rough, they just won't roll well. Padding on the inside is good; just a little weak on the other parts.

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  29 дней назад

      Mine have held up great. Still on the original bags, but I do agree the small wheels are problematic on grass and surfaces with large grooves. I usually put them on my RNR cart and wheel them in and then use the roller bags to move them around the venue which is convenient. Also they work well in parking lots, retail spaces, and other smoother surfaces. I still find them helpful.

      Excellent. The wheels have held up great! I had one nonessential strap rip but my subs look mint! It’s been a great case. The rolling case is only good if you are rolling it. if loading in you are going up or down the stairs, then it is a different story. The top and side handles are not proportionally to the weight of the amp. This is its major fault. Looks nice but not practical unless you are going on a straight line

      I’m so happy I had these cases. There were stairs and using a rock and roller wouldn’t have worked for me. These are always helpful in my opinion, even if it’s just rolling in around inside the venue to where you need to place the speakers. I do you wish all the handles had the plastic grip like the top one and a side wire pocket but other than that I think it’s a great case. 🙂👌🏻
