Just an absolutely great job you did on this project. The story was perfectly told as it had so many aspects to the whole story. I can only imagine how many hours you spent putting this all together. We all hope this video will bring back tourism to the people of Kumamoto, let's make 2018 the comeback year for the local people!!
Great job Greg! Fabulous and would love to go on a trip there for a nice ride in to help them clean up. I think it would be a great idea to plan a tour down there maybe for a weekend and just help out.
I'm living in Kumamoto city and riding Kawasaki ZZR. This is very helpful for me to explain about my hometown and the earthquake to my friends from other countries. Thank you.
I wanna join your “bike team” if you have, BTW. :)
Glad you liked it. Please find me on Facebook. It would be great to have a ride with you some day. You can find me here. Send me a quick message so I know it is you.
Beautifully produced video! Jigoku Onsen means a lot to me personally because it was the destination of my very first solo touring trip in Japan 24 years ago (Golden Week 1994!) www.gaijinbikers.com/wp/2006/02/25/hell-and-back/ They used to have a campground on the premises for bikers, and the staff took care of me when I got a high fever, so I have really fond memories of the place. I'm sorry to hear what happened to them, but I'm glad they're working toward a new start. I haven't been back to Kyushu since, but my wife and I are planning a trip this summer (rental car rather than two wheels, unfortunately). Any word on whether their plans to reopen 日帰り入浴 by spring are on track? I'd love to stop by and maybe donate to their rebuilding efforts. Again, amazing work on the video. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
Benjamin Moore Thanks for your comment. I remember that camp ground too. Glad you have good memories about your trip to Hell. Kenji Kawatsu has said the reopening for the spring has been slightly delayed. You can find whether or not they are open by checking their website before your visit. Best regards.
阿蘇に伺う時は、是非地獄温泉を訪れてみたいと思います。
This was awesome. I think I might try to pay this hot spring a visit this summer.
Cameron Ohara Thanks for watching. Hope the headphones sounded good.

Thanks for the kind words. I have no doubt the area will overflow with tourism in the future.

Thanks for watching. That's a good idea. Something to think about for sure.
阿蘇はとても素晴らしいですね。 震災ありましたが復興も少しづつですが進んでいるようです。

I'll check with them before heading southward. Thanks!
