The inverted pendulum thing is a real physical effect.
Um that gave me nasty thought
Saw a video just few days ago about it, amazing.
Can confirm, Google told me
@@OnemoreJoker Same, "The Action Lab" made a video about it
Kan is actually brilliant he said ut right
Suggestion: We searched "Glitch" on the workshop to see if the page will glitch.
I’m surprised they haven’t searched glitch yet.
i want to see that
Hahah lol
That brb
Why

Suggestion: Do a multiplayer Monday using the 'rope', maybe you have to tow a trailer using a car?
or use it to connect the cars together
like rubberbanding... the glitchy way
@@MisterNoNameLP i know they did they did the rope trailer ideo but i am pretty sure they connected cars with the ropes.
Yes!
Already happened
7:20 this is actually real. there are tons of videos making this infinite gravity thing but if you push it it would lose its balance and would fall.
7:45 this is still a real one. if you make a thing vibrate fast while there are loosen stick attached, it would go straight up
I forgot what it's called, but it's either rocket science, I read about it before, but it starts with an H, nevermind it's Tensegrity, I heard.
It's because the structure cannot fall without stretching at least one rope.
my english sucks
Yeah sometimes real physics are so un-intuitive, it feels like it is broken xD

"Scrap mechanic is so realistic!"
**car casually glitches in the ground after falling for 10 meters and then flies at mach 2**
very realistic
At what time?
*Catapult arm dissapears*
Mach what?
mach is called the speed of jet.
mach one is a speed of sound
Dont you just hate it when tour car fly away at mach5

The rope scene is a great example of entanglement in quantum phisics 14:46
“This is the first I’ve seen of anything like this”
It’s a snake. It’s based on how a snake works
Yes
But scrapman may not have ever seen a snake
12:21 Sm literally has the scrap car which is the same size as Kans Hummer but he went with this.
Check “The Action Lab” for real inverted pendulum.
Dangit. Leafblower
There is a channel called "The Action Lab". So you might get his channel logo instead.
That is where I learned abou an inverted pendulum

Scrapman’s hand phasing through his hammer:
I noticed that
I was hoping someone els say it
I didn’t think anyone else had seen it
Wow, i have a physic test tomorrow and the theme is physics, nice
Does that technically count as studying?
@@ndt_dynamite2247 i hope
17:34 sent my sides into orbit lmfao. I couldn't stop replaying that part.
It would be cool if you, cosmo, moombo, and Kan had a race where everyone was attached to the rope.
8:02 it does, according to wikipedia, one way to stabilize the inverted pendulum is by oscillating its y-position
You should do a multplayer Monday where youveach build a base and then you either vote or you get thr audience to do a poll. Love your vids!
Battle fortresses/ castles, 2 v 2 one drives the fortress an the other controls the guns
@@vernmaitland5835 YES! That is such a good idea! That needs to happen!
@@vernmaitland5835 Scrapman really needs to see this idea! XD
I'd love to see a We Searched "Physics" 2! ❤️
Me too
Suggestion for multiplayer monday: Play hide n seek in a cleared out 4 story warehouse :)~

aren't there 2 pipe pieces glitchwelded into the wheel, which makes the engine drive the pipe pieces and causes the effect?
when your old favorite youtuber entertains you still
2:47 having fun with the hammer there
4:20 "Yes, because as we all know, one person per world is fine, but make it two and the world's laws change" LOL
11:55 the way he says spaghetti brings hope back to humanity
Did I just watch two people play with a rope and two cars for 5 minutes? Yes I did.
The nuclear transitions made me *Radiate* with joy and *explode* with excitement.
No? Anybody? damn
Heh.
Good one.
i laughed so hard when the catapult just popped out of existence 🤣
ahhh, I love how realistic they make these creations
I can never stop watching scrapmans vids
I literally couldn’t stop laughing at 17:33 just the sound it makes and his body flies up
That thing you said was like a newtons cradle. You could potentially use that to water stuff like a lawn sprinkler.
17:37 scrapman pog right there
3:05 i have been looking for this thing in the steam work shop for 5 months
its a vibraty box in his natural habitat they were thought to be extinct 500 years ago but i believed that they still existed and they do and you were the first people to find it in 500 years it was and still is considered to be very hart to tame
that came out better than i thaught
i just made that up on the spot
LoL
I remember his video from a year or two ago where he reviewed user creations and one of them was like a Scrap Mechanic mechanical mansion or something, it was amazing.

2:48 scrapman zoned out for a moment there :)
17:34 it sounds like it made a sonoc boom and broke the sound barrier.
Inverted Pendulum law: An inverted pendulum is a pendulum that has its center of mass above its pivot point. It is unstable and without additional help will fall over. It can be suspended stably in this inverted position by using a control system to monitor the angle of the pole and move the pivot point horizontally back under the center of mass when it starts to fall over, keeping it balanced. The inverted pendulum is a classic problem in dynamics and control theory and is used as a benchmark for testing control strategies. It is often implemented with the pivot point mounted on a cart that can move horizontally under control of an electronic servo system as shown in the photo; this is called a cart and pole apparatus. Most applications limit the pendulum to 1 degree of freedom by affixing the pole to an axis of rotation. Whereas a normal pendulum is stable when hanging downwards, an inverted pendulum is inherently unstable, and must be actively balanced in order to remain upright; this can be done either by applying a torque at the pivot point, by moving the pivot point horizontally as part of a feedback system, changing the rate of rotation of a mass mounted on the pendulum on an axis parallel to the pivot axis and thereby generating a net torque on the pendulum, or by oscillating the pivot point vertically. A simple demonstration of moving the pivot point in a feedback system is achieved by balancing an upturned broomstick on the end of one's finger.
That giant broken pole reminds me of the bouncy pole guys from Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle
that rope is actually the best thing and the most useful thing i have ever seen
the pendulum at 08:12 we did that on 2nd semester physics at the university. Goal was to control 3 rods and have them stand vertical by only rotating on the lowest rod. like balancing 3 straws on top of eachother. Except it was from a fixed point, and rotation instead of vibreation. . Some take the easy mode and use a cart that runs back and forth but that's for highschool level.. ;)
Kan: "this is the best physics simulation."
T.A.B.S: "ho ho?"
I want a whole video experimenting with this extremely stretchy bearing rope
Part of me really wants to see them have a mecha battle.
Rope bit and rag doll was awesome

You should do your multiplayer Monday using the rope test at 12:10 to carry cargo for a race.
That infinite spiny thing will be good for when the generator comes out
"Physical Super Piston" was my nickname in college.
You should try searching "Overcomplicated" on the workshop (if you haven't done that already)

14:09 what is a scrap mechanic episode without you getting stuck in a tree?
A multiplayer Monday with the ropes!!!
Loving the videos keep it up man
They should make a rope tool for survival, it works like the weld tool, requires ammo, and the length can be adjusted like a piston. There could be other ropes like chains that sacrifice flexibility and stretch for durability, or cables that can provide power a connected object. It could be a thing you can craft, or an upgrade to the weld tool
you should do tied planes races. With the crazy physics rope
The inverted pendulum thing is a real thing, there's allegedly no limit to the amount of pendulums you can stack like that.
DO a race except your entire vehicle is made out of world clearing blocks (minus the essential stuff).
when your are reeling back the measuring tape while your brother is holding it : 22:04

at 17:36 u hear scrapman gasp and see kan in the sky box i froze and burst into laughter 🤣
I'm not even done with the episode. I'm on the super piston. I just gotta say. This is a banger of an episode. I laughed a lot. This is probably one of my favorite videos you have put out.
So the pendulum law and inverse pendulum laws explained:
Pendulum law;
Any object which can move freely in a gravity filled environment and is set in motion without continued input or outside constraints will fall into a straight line with gravity.
Inverse pendulum law;
Any object which can move freely and has a constant input of energy will align itself with the summation of the inputs.
In gravity filled environments the second law includes such force, however due to it being straight down and more energy is being input than gravity gives it defeats it and stands upright, it also could work to the side but would cause it to angle downward slightly
using the rope, fast boat hooked to a glider with a detatch block, boat drives, glider gets pulled and lifted, lets go via detach, glider flies.
the inverted pendulum will accelerate away from the vertical unstable equilibrium in the direction initially displaced, and the acceleration is inversely proportional to the length.
23:08 that kinda looks like the mekanism fusion reactor
They should have put seats on the seasaw and used it like, well, a seasaw!

Under an hour here I love your videos scrap man it just makes me laugh
Both the tensergity and inverted pendulum is realistic, stave mold made great videos about it
Isn't the inverted Pendulum thing how rockets stay upright?
@@FishSnackems nope, engine gimbals and control surfaces, and rockets have to rotate to do course corrections
@@rogervanbommel1086 ah, thank you
@@FishSnackems (Kerbal space program is pretty realistic in this though not in some other stuff)
Multiplayer Monday Idea:
Buckin Bronco Car at 18:40; with no seat; one who stands on it longest wins.
The inverted pendulum thing is real. If you want an intuitive explanation of it, I recommend the video Steve Mould did on it
I wanna make a joke about the inverted pendulum but I wont
The nuke cuts are the best!
