Greetings. Very nice video. The system is well thought out and simple. One thing you might consider for the future is adding a 1 or 2 liter accumulator tank. It will allow you to use your sink without the pump coming on all the time. This will make your pump last longer and increase your stealth (by reducing your noise level). Anyway, well done and enjoy your van!

What is cool is unlike most van dwellers in USA on YT, we both are not challenged vertically (being tall) LOL The whole cabinets being higher and bed on passenger side, and other tips are things I have been putting into planning a build. Like the water system. Was gonna do without it, but your build is a great compromise.

I like this water system a lot for the same reason as you; 'keeping it simple' is the best way, for everything really. Sophisticated engineering, on everything, creates more problems than it solves. Lovely when fancy setups are working fine, but they go wrong, then you're in for heaps of trouble. No outside water fillup is better too; cutting holes in the vans side is not good anyway, and as you say, people can see a water infill point and know this is a camper, possibly with desirable items inside, and also, in the extreme case, an outside water infill point is accessible by everyone, including those with ill intent. Best wishes from Alan, in England. PS just incidentally, both my daughters are in Oz, Alana 29 working in Sydney and getting perm res, and Marina24, out there for a long holiday, but being in NSW just now is being blighted by daily unrelenting smoke from the terrible wildfires. Where abouts are you?

    Nicely presented !
Just my '2 cents' now ...
    1) You might want to add an extra brace near the bottom of the tank : when it gets, say 2/3 empy all the weight will be at the bottom, still wanting to move forward in case of an emergency stop ...
    2) If the van interior gets cold for a prolonged period, the water will stay cold long after the interior heats up, moist air + cold tank = condensation dripping on the floor even without any leaks.
    A large shower-like receptical underneath, which also drains ourside could prevent the floor getting wet;
this might also help if the gasket in the big red 'acces cap' should start to slowly fail ...
    3) A cheap and easy way to indicate the water level :
Put a T joint on the water exit and run a clear hose upward,
to prevent spills, connectie that hose to your 'overflow/air acces' hose at the top without another T joint.
Since both of these are in the back of the cabinet, mounting the T soms the extra connection sits horizintally could allow you to run the clear hose from the water exit toward the cabinet doors - up via the vertical stud and back to the overflow connection (so you can check it just by opening the door) :)
Whatever you do, keep safe and enjoy the outdoor life !

Great video, thank you mate! Your build seems to be very good and your ideas make a lot of sense in stealth camping. You could put a 30cm long hose hanging down close to the ground after the elbow to make sure your drain water comes out silent while stealth camping. In the UK this will def work since the mostly wet roads. Takes no extra effort and money to use eco-friendly dishwashing liquid.
Subscribed after the first video, this will be one of the bests channels for sure. I am interested how do you power your computer for editing.

Another reason for the lower sink drain is to drain stale water out for newer fresh water. Nice system.

Hi, thanks for your videos. I'm in the process of converting a van into camper. Like you I want to keep things as simple as possible.
All too often you see people getting carried away and doing fancy stuff that will only drain your wallet and in reality is not that necessary.
KISS, is still the best way.

You can put a drain with a dish washer connection that you can connect overflow for the water tank. This way you don't need to drill 2nd hole in your floor.

Out of a zillion videos on what I am wanting to do or trying to get ideas of.. Yours is by far the BEST!!
I'm definitely going to do my best to do this set up.
I'm going to be building me a mini TT from scratch to pull behind my 66 chevelle.
I'm trying to build as light as possible. A toilet & shower closet are a must have for me due to my disabilities and health.
My idea is to maybe if possible to have 2 seperate water tank sources for bath/kitchen.
My bath/shower I was thinking a 25 gallon tank AND doing the roof pvc pipe type of water storage. (This for kitchen for sure).
The PVC pipes will basically be set up for gravity flow to get kitchen water..
However... This setup just might be how I do both.
    Thank you!
