      Hi @GarytheWaterGuy
Thank you for the great videos.
We’ve been in our home for two years. After a new well install in September (took out the dilapidated galvanized metal culvert & switched it out for cement well casing and a proper fitting lid.). New drain rock and properly crowned.
      It’s a shallow well at 11 feet.
We decided to have to water tested and we’re contacted immediately about the following results.
      Microorganisms (MPN/100 ML)
      Comment
      Total Coliform
      *>200.
      Total e.Coli
      *22.2
      *ABOVE MAC
The sample was taken from an outside tap. It was wiped on the outside with bleach and ran for five minutes before collecting the sample.
It was mentioned that the pressure tank could be the source of the e.coli?
I’m confused as to where e.Coli would come from. Our septic system in far away from our well and we have no farms around us.
Can a pressure tank be disinfected? Our water definitely has a smell to it when ran inside and out. The inside water all goes through a whole home filtration, water softener, and UV light system.
We appreciate any feedback you can offer.
      Thank you.

You can disinfect your pressure tank by putting bleach in the well and running it intot he pressure tank and then leave it overnight before flushing it out.

Why fiberglass? They don't last as long do they?

Fiberglass does not rust. I like that.

Why not use PVC Pipe or PEX Pipe? Makes assembly quicker easier.

I guess it would, but locally we always use copper or brass.

Are you getting bubbles from your water softener or your pressure tank?
