Approximately eight (8) persons were injured following a car accident in Valencia on Monday 24th June, 2024.
• Around 12:00pm, a man was transporting seven passengers in a black Toyota Voxy registered HDM 6806 along the Eastern Main Road, Valencia, when a grey Subaru Impresa registered PDR 9642 was observed overtaking a line of traffic.
• The driver attempted to pull to the extreme left onto the grass to avoid a collision but his efforts proved futile and both vehicles crashed causing the Impresa to spin out of control and the Voxy to flip several times before landing on the hood in a nearby drain.
• Persons who witnessed the incident notified the police and emergency health services who responded and conveyed the victims to the Sangre Grande Hospital to seek medical attention.
