Keep reacting to Dimash, soon you will stop trying to classify him, because as you will see, he does not follow the norms of what is established either within the voice, tenor ... / ... soprano, or Opera / Pop / Rap / traditional music ... He has opened another dimension and now we know that the voice with a lot of effort and work can give even more than what was previously believed, he is only 26 years old and 20 of them studying singing, instruments, composition and he continues to study his 3 hours daily and doing swimming to improve that breath control ... the result ... is what leaves us so amazed. The first thing they usually say about him when listening to him is that he is crazy, that he is tricked, that he is not human, that he is an alien or a scientific experiment 🤷🏼♀️ or they are simply left speechless and without explanation. It is already great, search the browser for the best singer in the world and it will appear among the first. Internet in this case goes faster than the music market, but there we also know that the production companies make many products and spend a lot of money to be heard on the radios, something that Dimash refuses because he does not want to be a Puppet to be forced to dress in a certain way, to sing a type of song and surround himself with people to take "the photo" but rather he prefers to meet people and show them his admiration and respect. He does not want to part with his culture, his ethics, his moral convictions in exchange for fame and money. All his work has given him the opportunity to surround himself with his people and to be able to do whatever he wants. There are no more contests, no judges, and no required songs. There is only him, his desire to have fun, to honor his great idols, Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Freddy Mercury ... and of course make his homeland and culture known to the rest of the world.
You still have a long way to go to understand the musical enigma that this artist is. Listening to him is a mime for our souls, how can we not admire him, pamper him and love him. He is the Voice of the World.

Welcome to the World of Dimash! The absolute best Vocalist on the planet ... absolutely no-one compares ... His range and ability far exceeds that of Mariah Carey ... or anyone else! Correction too on His vocal range which reaches 7 octaves in the song Ogni Pietra ... it's 'documented' that His range is 6 octaves and 5 semi tones so perhaps 5 octaves is what He does in this particular song alone ... which I doubt because He manages 4 within the first minute here. None of that really matters though as what He is able to do with His instrument is out of this world ... As a music lover of all genres of music, I can say that he’s the best singer I’ve ever heard in my life. You need to see more of him to realise that it’s not just about his vocal range. His versatility might surprise you. Opera, pop, rap, rock, folk, composer, dancer, actor and multi instrumentalist. Plus he’s humble, intelligent and kind. ♥️🇬🇧
Dimash’s vocal range is now over 6 octaves but that’s not what’s most impressive, he not only has a unbelievably wide vocal range, he knows how to use it in anyway and at anytime he chooses. He’s University trained in Classical, Contemporary, Jazz, ect. He has a Master’s degree in competition and is about to receive his doctorate in Musicology. Dimash sings in 14 different languages and sings in many different genres. Dimash has millions of fans around the world and is in high demand! He calls his fans Dears because he considers us like family and we are all dear to his heart. Dimash has worked very hard since the age of 6 when he began his training. He comes from a family of musicians and teachers, his mother & father are both honored musicians in Kazakhstan. Best of all is that Dimash is a very humble, well mannered, intelligent, compassionate and caring young 27 year old who is a patriot of Kazakhstan and has dream all his life of being on stage and bringing people from all over the world together through his music. Hello from America. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my RUclips recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence. You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him. His range is actually about 7 octaves now and spans across all five registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register, and he seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath. As you might already know, there are only 5 registers, from lowest to highest: vocal fry (pulse), chest voice, head voice, falsetto/flute, and whistle tone. Soprano is a vocal range and/or voice type - so Dimash can still sing the highest voice type, but he would be singing in that range using both his head voice and falsetto, and very occasionally whistle tone. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during a live performance. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.

The "problem" with Dimash is that he can sing in any music genre he wants - pop, rock, rap, opera, jazz, ethnic music... and sometimes several of this generes in one song. :) His work is multifaceted.

He tends to render every first listener speechless. You’ve just touch the tip of the iceberg and there’s so much more to him. He truly does have the range of an alien. SOS is the perfect beginner song and I would highly recommend Sinful Passion next. Then after that I would go with Ogni Pietra, which is operatic, but I assure you that even if you’re not an opera fan you will like it.

I find that singers with such a range are often doomed to constantly wow their audience with vocal agility, a little like classical opera composers always challenged opera singers with tougher and tougher runs and vocal gymnastic. It’s a gift ans a curse. Dimash is still young. He has many musical influences from classical to Queen, Michael Jackson and Lara Fabian and of course music from his own country. He writes his own songs, plays multiple instruments, is even interested in music and video production. It is a song for one male singer, the highs and lows reflect the lyrics - when they are about the character's bleak life, he sings low, when he dreams to be a bird and speaks of a spiritual connection with other worlds , he sings high. The song is previously sung by the famous French singers Daniel Balavoine, Gregory Lemarshal and others, but they all sing the highs as falsetto, while Dimash sings in a mix and head voice. He doesn't use whistle register here, he whistles in other songs in the 7th and one time in the 8th octave (D8 - his highest note so far). Dimash says that it is not important what range you have, but what you do with it. He uses his amazing vocal abilities and various techniques to sing in most genres, often blending them in the same song, and to convey the emotions of his songs to the audience.

even more astounding than his range, his control, the emotion he shows in his songs, the many instruments he plays, the 12 languages he sings in, is the unheard-of ability to change his tone on any one note from opera to classical to pop. Yes in ONE note. Singing coaches across the world say they never heard anything like it. His abilities are so unique. He swims the entire length of an Olympic pool to uphold his lung power in a long-held note and his powerful voice projection. Even in the longest-held note, that note does not lose power until he wants it to. 20+ plus years of vocal training, 3 hrs/day practice, along with learning so many languages and excellent skill at playing so many instruments, backs up his claim as he says,"cut open my soul and music will come pouring out, cut into my heart or brain and you will see nothing but music."
I want to leave you here with a definition that an Italian musician made to describe the Dimash phenomenon from the artistic point of view, without even going into the aspects of the incredible human being that he is, full of moral and ethical values, respectful, full of love for his family and very proud of their Kazakh culture.

The first thing they usually say about him when listening to him is that he is crazy, that he is tricked, that he is not human, that he is an alien or a scientific experiment 🤷🏼♀️ or they are simply left speechless and without explanation. It is already great, search the browser for the best singer in the world and it will appear among the first. Internet in this case goes faster than the music market, but there we also know that the production companies make many products and spend a lot of money to be heard on the radios, something that Dimash refuses because he does not want to be a Puppet to be forced to dress in a certain way, to sing a type of song and surround himself with people to take "the photo" but rather he prefers to meet people and show them his admiration and respect. He does not want to part with his culture, his ethics, his moral convictions in exchange for fame and money. All his work has given him the opportunity to surround himself with his people and to be able to do whatever he wants. There are no more contests, no judges, and no required songs. There is only him, his desire to have fun, to honor his great idols, Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Freddy Mercury ... and of course make his homeland and culture known to the rest of the world.

Correction too on His vocal range which reaches 7 octaves in the song Ogni Pietra ... it's 'documented' that His range is 6 octaves and 5 semi tones so perhaps 5 octaves is what He does in this particular song alone ... which I doubt because He manages 4 within the first minute here. None of that really matters though as what He is able to do with His instrument is out of this world ... He is the gold medalist of vocal gymnastics. His stage presence is compelling. This was the very first song (but the video was from the Chinese singing competition) that I ever saw him sing and it made me cry to hear him sing. I was hooked.

As a music lover of all genres of music, I can say that he’s the best singer I’ve ever heard in my life. You need to see more of him to realise that it’s not just about his vocal range. His versatility might surprise you. Opera, pop, rap, rock, folk, composer, dancer, actor and multi instrumentalist. Plus he’s humble, intelligent and kind. ♥️🇬🇧
Dimash’s vocal range is now over 6 octaves but that’s not what’s most impressive, he not only has a unbelievably wide vocal range, he knows how to use it in anyway and at anytime he chooses. He’s University trained in Classical, Contemporary, Jazz, ect. He has a Master’s degree in competition and is about to receive his doctorate in Musicology. Dimash sings in 14 different languages and sings in many different genres. Dimash has millions of fans around the world and is in high demand! He calls his fans Dears because he considers us like family and we are all dear to his heart. Dimash has worked very hard since the age of 6 when he began his training. He comes from a family of musicians and teachers, his mother & father are both honored musicians in Kazakhstan. Best of all is that Dimash is a very humble, well mannered, intelligent, compassionate and caring young 27 year old who is a patriot of Kazakhstan and has dream all his life of being on stage and bringing people from all over the world together through his music. He has also dreamed of concerts in big arenas around the world performing Kazakh folk music along with many other works & that dream was realized, especially when he performed his first solo concert in New York on December 10th, 2019 at Barclay Center to a sold out crowd of over 19,000 in attendance with fans(Dears) from over 60 different countries and 48 of the 50 United States. Hello from America. I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my RUclips recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence.
You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him.
His range is actually about 7 octaves now and spans across all five registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register, and he seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath. As you might already know, there are only 5 registers, from lowest to highest: vocal fry (pulse), chest voice, head voice, falsetto/flute, and whistle tone. Soprano is a vocal range and/or voice type - so Dimash can still sing the highest voice type, but he would be singing in that range using both his head voice and falsetto, and very occasionally whistle tone. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during a live performance. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.

The "problem" with Dimash is that he can sing in any music genre he wants - pop, rock, rap, opera, jazz, ethnic music... and sometimes several of this generes in one song. :) His work is multifaceted.

He tends to render every first listener speechless. You’ve just touch the tip of the iceberg and there’s so much more to him. He truly does have the range of an alien. SOS is the perfect beginner song and I would highly recommend Sinful Passion next. Then after that I would go with Ogni Pietra, which is operatic, but I assure you that even if you’re not an opera fan you will like it.

Oooooouuuuhhh... Dimash! He is such an amazing singer. I find that singers with such a range are often doomed to constantly wow their audience with vocal agility, a little like classical opera composers always challenged opera singers with tougher and tougher runs and vocal gymnastic. It’s a gift ans a curse. Dimash is still young. He has many musical influences from classical to Queen, Michael Jackson and Lara Fabian and of course music from his own country. He writes his own songs, plays multiple instruments, is even interested in music and video production. It is a song for one male singer, the highs and lows reflect the lyrics - when they are about the character's bleak life, he sings low, when he dreams to be a bird and speaks of a spiritual connection with other worlds , he sings high. The song is previously sung by the famous French singers Daniel Balavoine, Gregory Lemarshal and others, but they all sing the highs as falsetto, while Dimash sings in a mix and head voice. He doesn't use whistle register here, he whistles in other songs in the 7th and one time in the 8th octave (D8 - his highest note so far). Dimash says that it is not important what range you have, but what you do with it. He uses his amazing vocal abilities and various techniques to sing in most genres, often blending them in the same song, and to convey the emotions of his songs to the audience.

There is an order and a deep meaning in what he does in this song. The song is about contrasting conditions and emotions, both physically and mentally. The song is about contrasts between life and death, happiness and depression, beauty and ugliness, low and high - he is grounded and depressed but he wants to be a bird and fly high up in order to feel better. When he is referring to the ground he goes down, when he is talking about flying up like a bird, he goes high. Everything makes perfect sense.
