Dimash doesn’t want to sign with some big company who will make him sing their songs, wear what they want. He wants complete freedom of choice. This is the reason many people in the west haven’t heard of him. His father and uncle set up a company to produce his work. Dimash has integrity and is more concerned with his creativity than commercialism. He is very special. He has two concerts in may, Budapest next week and Istanbul at the end of may on his birthday. I’m going to both. I am 79 year old lady from U.K., People come thousands of miles to see him. He is very understated off stage, no ego, but on stage, he explodes.

I discovered Dimash on youtube seven years ago when his 2017 version of this song on the Chinese reality show, I Am Singer, went viral. He is from Kazakhstan and was already famous there and was invited to compete along with China's best on that Chinese talent show. The one you just watched was a live performance, one of a number of songs he did for a live digital show that was produced for his fans during the Covid lockdowns when he could not do stage shows. The musicians and producers with whom he works are some of the best in the world, and they are mostly friends and acquaintances of his in Kazakhstan. There is no one as talented or creative on the planet. Dimash is a phenomenon who sings in about 15 languages, speaks three of them quite well, plays at least seven instruments perfectly, and creates some of the most amazing music on the planet while using his 7.7 octave voice. Dimash does it all, from opera to Kazakh rap, and he does it all brilliantly. You have only touched the tip of the iceberg with this song and performance. Believe me, you haven't seen anything yet. Dimash fills arenas and stadiums around the world with his nearly four-hour concerts and they always draw fans from 60-70 countries who make challenging trips just to be in proximity of him. By the way, perhaps the reason you haven't heard of Dimash is that he is a totally independent artist who will not compromise his creativity in order to sign to a major western label which will simply try to turn him into the next Michael Jackson. Dimash is so much more than that even though he has met with major producers like David Foster in LA. Opera legend Placido Domingo approached Dimash and asked that they do a duet together--which they have done and which you can see on youtube. Pope Francis gave Dimash an award for his ongoing peace efforts and his never-ending desire to unite people no what their culture or where they live.

Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and would be completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. I discovered him in a show called the World’s Best where he was treated rudely by Rupaul when he pulled out of the competition, he found out he was competing with children. Kazakhs dont compete with children. Since then I’ve listened to Dimash during breaks & before I go to bed. His voice relaxes me, I’m 74 yrs old & I’ve listened to a lot of great singers, but Dimash is on another level, no one else can reach that level of talent.not to mention that he’s also a great humanitarian.

Hes from Kazakstan, speaks russian and kasack fluently, gets better all the time in english and mandarin. has a huge follow of dears (his fans) in asia and russia especially and from the rest of the world. His conserts er huge and has listeners from more than 60-70 contries from all over the world. his very versatile in his music. done loads of musik and musikwideos all with a fantastic quality in produktion. He has his own produktionkompagny, Dimashali, and can do and does what he feels to do. He makes crossover musik, with different styles in most of his songs. Hes into opera, jazz, blues, funk, pop, soul, rock, folk(mostly kasack) and raps. his musik is a blend of different genres and is always ekstremly fantastic - dimashified. earlyer on he made a lot of covers, but in the last few years, he has made a lot of his music himself, and some of his friends musik, and he has collaboratet with a russian velknown composer, igor Krutoy, who has made a lot of songs for Dimashes ekstraordinary wide range, and changed some of his earlyer songs for Dimashes voice. You need to do a tour on his performances because he is multi talented, multi instrumentist, multi language and musical genres ... Opera, Pop, Folk, Rock, Rap, Ballades... This song was sing in french. It"s from an iconic french canadian ópera rock calling Starmania. His work has mainly been concentrated in the Eastern half of the world, and most of it is in different languages other than English. People who don't speak languages other than English tend not to listen to anything foreign. In English he has a fairly strong accent. He is a cross-over artist, not necessarily radio friendly. He called himself neo-classical at first but he's now so much more than that. He's started composing over the last few years and every single song is different from the rest. Also he's into film making, art, beauty, so his music videos are often stunning mini-films and very creative. He is the best in the world and he works with the best people, yet he is a humble guy. Thank you for your reaction. I discovered him about a year ago and I can't go a day without listening to him. As others have said, he is amazing. His catalog is vast and varied. Anything you choose will be great.
Dimash has participated in many contests and given many concerts. There are fancams and videos where he is recorded on phones singing acapella and/or with no microphone 0n the streets, at airports, at somebody's home, etc. He sings with his audience at concerts. So we know what his abilities are. I personally attended 10 concerts already. This performance is live, but honestly it doesn't matter because he has nothing left to prove.
I call dimash my soul healer because the most important thing for me is that he moves ne so deeply, like no other singer on this planet.

Best rabbit hole you can find. You can not imagine what he can do with that golden voice. Pretty much any genre he wants, and in multiple languages. He may do full on opera today, pop tomorrow, rock, rap, or a combination of them all in one song. Stranger is a must and it will be in English along with his last MV, When I've Got You, also in Englsih. One song sounds like something from an amazing movie and the other is rock blues vibes complete with a vampire MV.

I found Dimash three weeks ago . I have watched most of his videos his shows are outstanding. His voice is out of this world. His musicians incredible. He is so talented singing in 13 languages. Opera , pop, ballads, rock so many genres. He also is the most humble man . My absolute favourite singer of all time. I am 75 year old English woman.
You have just discovered one of, if not the best vocalist, he was born in Kazakhstan and he is spectacular!!!
You can listen to the song Stranger that gives name to his concert tour, on May 4th he will have 1 in Budapest (Hungary) which is where I am now and on May 24th in Istanbul, Turkey....

Yes, this was live! He sings more beautiful, strong and clear running around on stage several hours into a concert, than others do standing in a studio after 20 takes! 😉

He does sing live, as well as he sings on a recording! He’s a perfect vocalist and also a great emotional performer! He won’t sign a contract with the west, because he wants control of his work and what he sings! The only genre I haven’t heard him do is country (yet!), he does every other genre from Opera to Rap! He sings in 13 languages and he sings a lot in English. He regularly sells out stadiums of 40-50 thousand people in his solo concerts, all over the world. His music videos are amazing! His masterpiece “The Story of One Sky’ that he composed himself and wrote the screenplay for is a work of art. The most expensive MV ever produced at 7 Million USD (of his own money). He is also extremely humble and he calls his fans ‘Dears’ because we are so dear to him, like family.

I’m in Budapest right now to see my 2nd Dimash concert. I’ll be in Istanbul later this month for his 30th birthday concert. I’m from California. Dimash is an amazing singer and an even more amazing person. Good heart, great ethics and morals. Rare in the music industry. Enjoy!!

Following him since Singer series in China, he only sings every genre so take your pick. Some are considered masterpieces, but his creativity knows no bounds. Go to his channel and pick the ones that have the most views would be a good start. Other commenters have their playlist which are equally as good. You are not only going down a rabbit hole, but you are witnessing the "soul menderer" in that he heals in some small way. You will see the good side of human kind and enjoy what energy he shares. The man is the GOAT. The DEARS (his fans) will follow you and do give credit by linking Dimash's channel when picking a performance to review. Many others get around the copyright by using a filter of focus or close to obscure the originality. You don't want a still, because the stage performance movements are a master class to be shared. Dimash is a talented singer from the great Soviet singing school in Alma-Ata.
I am one of his 'dears' which is what he calls his fans. I got lost in his music and voice about 4 years ago and I need a daily fix of at least one of his songs. He lifts my spirit. he is a humanitarian too and writes a lot of his own stuff. Speaks many languages and plays many instruments. He cares about his fans and people in general.

Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the French composer Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress. Regarding the wings reference: The national animal of Kazakhstan is the golden eagle, a symbol of independence, freedom and flight to the future . He often uses this motif.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! Dimash is from Kazakhstan and has performed in (I think it is 15 by now) different languages with multiple styles and genres- often in the same song. He performs just as well in groups as his solo abilities since he is a considerate and highly capable performer. Depending upon your preferences, Sinful Passion, Know and Olimpico are good starting points before you check out Stranger, Screaming and Love of Tired Swans. More recent include his most recent Smoke or When I’ve Got You. Absolute masterpiece is Requiem: The Story of One Sky. You’ll likely get sick of reading the comments since Dimash’s Dears - his fan base - is very vocal and filled with admiration for Dimash (rightfully so!). Enjoy the journey! Cheers from Canada!
