What mods should we do to the car?
See, THIS is cool to me. I like the Idealists, but I always enjoy watching someone take a pile and turn it into a proper car.
You’d like my 06 Audi S4 cabriolet. Had a good year and a half but now I need to upgrade seats and stereo and put on a new top as well as an engine out service. Quite a list, no? Not really. All of the money I spend on my car will amount to the cost of interest on a new one and I will end up with a custom car that has all the big things fixed. Plus a twin turbo 6 just doesn’t speak to me like my 4-valve V-8. Best wishes
@markvincent5992 That's quite a list. The S4 is a good platform though, especially with those V8s. It just sucks you have to do an engine-out service.
@@JeffOfTheMountains thanks Jeff. I even thought about selling mine for one that had been worked on. Between the price and the fact that I would “ rather dance with the one who brung me!”, I’m gonna just keep working on mine lol.
@@markvincent5992 NP. That's usually the best way to go about it. Once you've had a car for a few years, you understand all of its quirks and know exactly when something isn't quite right.
@@JeffOfTheMountains btw the other day I had a little luck as my digital dashboard had returned quite unexpectedly as it hadn’t been working properly for months. I have properly faced Ingolstadt and genuflected, after a proper thanks to God. Lmao
This is exactly why I do all the work on my own car. I spend hours doing research and I have a mechanical mind. It may take me longer but at the end of the day I gain knowledge and experience for my time which pays off big over time. To me, it's worth the headache of doing it myself

I'd love to see that car hit 400 crank hp.
But at the same token, you're saying "on the cheap". This is also a boxer. Which means, unless there's a swap in this car's future, the powerplant may respond better to ITB, or a supercharger. They won't have the power, but they'll have the fun. You'll also avoid shredding 3rd... Unlike other channels we know.
Also, for the love of god, please remember to baffle your oil pan... That is, unless you like replacing engines... Or don't like road courses.

Love the how to do and fix up video's. Not gonna lie, don't like 86's or FR-S's as it's the most popular car everyone has in my city followed by mustangs. It's more known as a bang-wagon car rather than a flex. Hope to see some mods on another car in a future video.

I am going to buy a used FRS within next month or 2... This video has me more nervous then a cat shittn razor blades.. I can do some of basic maintenance but I dont have a lift. TIPS on buying one of these? Obviously I am noot going to go buy cheapest one in the country... Any tipsor suggestions? It will be my doordash cars... If tbe car does not look like its been takin care of im am not even taking a chance on it.

Help a brother out gimme some tips for non-ricer mods
Easiest place to start is the intake, then headers, then a cat-back exhaust. After those are installed, look into upgrading the clutch and brakes, maybe the tires too. I *THINK* TRD still makes a supercharger kit for the TC, but since Scion is a dead make, you might have to do some digging.
Stock intake is great from the factory. If anything, look at a drop in HKS dry filter. Just change it more often.
@@stevef3521 and I come to find out there’s a design flaw in the input shaft bearing and guess who has the clutch out hum. Yeah this guys 😞
I’ve had my BRZ since day one and I absolutely love the car I have modified it, of course, but a lot of these cars that are out on the market right now we’re absolutely beaten to shit by previous owners beware when buying them but any savvy person knows that goes for every car
