- This month saw two new arrivals at JGI’s Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the
Republic of Congo. Named Jack and DouDou by their caregivers, these young chimpanzees are both

The absolute love they , especially the 5 yr old, are showing the caregiver is heartwarming. His holding and grooming is obviously being enjoyed

so sad for *ALL* creatures unnecessarily suffering bc of cruelty, sickness, for "fun" of others, wheather poached animals or neglected or abused children and women. Trauma means life long suffering. We could have it so good here. It makes me sad every time i think about it

It breaks my heart that people are capturing and keeping these babies chained/tied up. I mean, really, what's the point? Why...why...why??? Why can't they just let them be with their families in the wild? However, so glad JGI is helping to acclimate them to a life of more freedom. And in a much more humane way. Thank you JGI!!!
Many capture and torture the chimps. At a later point they are then killed

I've noticed a sign of hope from these presios chimps. They will heal now mentally. An physically .. and play sleep better also 😴 God bless them 🙏

Yeah and as soon as they can they'll bite off their caregiver's fingers and or attack. They DON'T UNDERSTAND. They are NOT cute fuzzy little friends to the rescue team. They are at time traumatized and very mean. These THINGS are nasty little things that will attack.

@@shelledreptile5626 They are NOT like a human being. They have little if any reasoning. When fully grown and over 200lbs. this THING will have the strength of 3-5 men. It also has the mentality of a 5 year old. Meaning if you piss it off your DEAD!!! Or faceless, hands gone, eyes eaten or tore out. Go jump into a pen with one of them and reason with IT. See how close to being one of "us" it is as it rips you apart. IT'S fingernails were used to tear a worker's intestines out at the Chimp Eden sanctuary. Ask him how human they are. Having similar DNA doesn't mean they are us.

The cruelty inflicted on these dear creatures is beyond understanding. What kind of minds could do that? It has to be pure evil. Thank all that’s Devine that there are amazing, caring, loving people like those involved in rescuing and giving them a life of freedom, friends, health and happiness.

I would love to visit one or few sanctuary's to help with all-round construction work or other work for a year and come back and help again.If i could stay longer i would love to bit can't leave country for that long due to regulations...

This seems like a waste. Why aren't all these chimps in medical research centers having experiments done to them like burn trauma, disease, head trauma and things like that that would help humans.
