LMAO! Watched that a few times! 😂😂😂 Watched another video of yours first, the baseball hat pulled me in after the title of the video did... (upgrades that define a RestoMod) I lived in Mead for junior & senior high school back in the early 80’s! Love seeing the footage in your videos! I have a 64 Valiant (slant six) that I’m gathering ideas for, really enjoying your content! 😃 Can I bring you my car for an overhaul?!
Hi Karey! Thanks for tuning in! I'm glad you're enjoying the channel and the content! Mead is a great area and I'm really enjoying being there! Though I'm not setup to take on any customer projects, I'd love to help you out and point you in the right direction. Does your Valiant run? If so, you should swing by the shop so I can take a look!
😄 I would be there today if I could! I moved back to Southern California after graduating from Mead HS. Mead is a beauty place, looks like you’re out in an awesome area too! My valiant is running great, but the carb may not be quite right. It doesn’t start as quickly as I’d like it to. I’d love to switch to fuel injection but that would be a bigger price tag (maybe?) than what I can do. I have a wonderful friend helping with the project, thank goodness, but you mentioned a lot of things in that video that I’m not sure he knows how to do. I’m starting with the mechanical stability and will do aesthetic stuff later, there’s just so much to do!! I guess I need help choosing what’s most important?! Haven’t tackled the suspension, but my friend did grease all the bushings & said it would be good to switch all that out soon. Omgosh - and the steering! I had the same Valiant 20 years ago & did a light restoration so I’m familiar with the lack of power steering, but I kinda feel like I wanna switch that out. The list goes on!!! I could write tons but I’ll spare you for now! I appreciate your response and certainly welcome any input! 🙏🏼
@@kareygregerson3423 Awesome Karey! It sounds like you've got a good plan and some good help! Your strategy of handling the mechanics and drivability items first and then working on aesthetics after is a wise choice. You mentioned quite a few areas that might make a nice upgrade, depending on how you drive your car. EFI is fantastic. A properly tuned carb does a great job too though. My only recommendation is to create your list of potential upgrades, and prioritize it based on your own desire to upgrade that area. After the basics I did quite a few handling upgrades on my impala because my focus was to get the car to drive and handle better. Then, I focused on comfort, and upgraded my seats. So, start correcting the things that drive you the most crazy about your car and start working down the list. Hope that helps! And keep watching our videos for tips and tricks! 🤣😅
Give him a break. He did a good job. Didn't hit anyone . Those Impalas are awesome, but they have an "X" frame that twists and snaps back and can give you big surprises like that if you're not ready for it. It's a good idea to weld up some "K" frame reinforcements that you can bolt in, or weld in that makes that car a whole new driving experience. Adding power to that car is lots of fun, but requires some reinforcements. Take care
I did a custom bi-xenon retrofit, so the low beam lights in the car are actually out of a 2013 Jaguar, and the high beams incorporate the highs from the jag, as well as a pair of H4's. Hope that helps!
Can i ask you what truck or car motor came out and what mods to that motor did you have to do to it to work in the 65? Im really trying to get an LS and drop one in my 65
Hey JG, thanks for following along! I have a vid that talks about my setup and mods here: ruclips.net/video/PEe4j80PwP0/видео.html Check it out and if it doesn't answer all of your questions, come back here and ask. Cool?
I’ve got a 65 Impala with a 396 and a 4 speed that I’m going to build up. I’m probably close to your dads age. Us old guys still have it. BTW, what tires and wheels do you have on it.

bro, im literally laughing out loud at this video. hahahah. I have a 67 pontiac parisenne (4 door), me and my girlfriend are going to be doing the engine swap. How difficult and pricey was the engine swap bro? im not afraid of hard work but just if you could give me an idea. lol
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it! Its really tough to say on the engine swap cost. I did all the work myself, but I'll guess $5-7k for the engine, trans, wiring, refi fuel setup, and all the associated parts to make it all work correctly. Good luck with your swap! Stay tuned to our channel as we'll be documenting an LS going into a 47 chevy fleetline in the future!

@@bladeleo71 Thanks man! No regrets at all! Seriously, I've taken this car on a couple hundred mile+ road trips, has tons of power, gets about 24MPG and has probably 400rwhp. I wouldn't change it at all. Exhaust is LT headers to 2.5" with H pipe to Dynomax Ultraflows!
Everyone is fine, no one is hurt. The video makes it look a lot closer than it actually was. He didn't intend for this to happen, but I appreciate your concern for everyone's safety. Cheers!
Cool ride tuff!! i will have a 65 4 door rhd in the next 6 months won't be stock! Australia.
Oh wow! That's awesome!
