So Rush got the Dynamite match, and Hechicero (and other CMLL talent) will be at the PPV).

If I had to try to figure out Tony's rationale perhaps he looks at FD as a place to do matches you can't see elsewhere. Who else would ever book MJF vs Hechicero? Nobody. Where as if you did ZSJ vs Hechicero... that's happening this Saturday in Mexico City. It could happen in San Jose too next month for NJPW. Same with ZSJ vs Orange. Orange isn't doing indies so it can't happen there. He also seems to have little interest & vice versa in NJPW. So where can you see it? FD. Again, just speculating here. I like Mariah May. I also like Mariah May for the Owen Hart Cup because it would tie together the story of Toni being the one to enter her in the tournament and oopsie her best friend wins & now can take her title away. MJF facing CMLL talent Hechicero at FD probably may not have been the original plan but due to politics a bigger CMLL talent was not possible I guess. MJF could have faced a NJPW talent, for example Ishii. However Hechicero is a rudo/heel for babyface MJF to overcome and his alliance with the Elite's hired mercenaries Cage Of Agony, helps implement a path for MJF to be involved in Blood and Guts against The Elite.
