I have taken knives apart hundreds of times I didn’t learn anything new from your video but I watched the whole thing just because I love your videos...keep it up bud
This video helped me put it together, thank you! HOWEVER FOR OTHER WATCHERS: My Lucha's screws were on the reverse side of my knife compared to Will's, so even if you lay your knife down just like he does in this video, check and make sure you're actually working with the screws, and not the barrels. You might have your screws on the other side of your knife. This does not cause any problems with the mod as a whole, but it'll be really confusing when you keep trying to unscrew your pivots and they never seem to be loosening up. Once I realized that, the mod was far less confusing, and quite easy!
I purchased the Kersha Lucha Trainer and the Flytanium handles together. funny thing, my trainer did not have washers installed. It was tuned perfectly, but it is heavy. the bearings came out deep side, and flat side, out. I assembled all bearings deep side toward the blade, but it does not make a difference. I installed the washers that came with the handles. YES they are a tight fit. I have a mechanical background with Aircraft, Cars, Motorcycles. the washers just don't slide in with finger pressure, NOPE! I use some tape on the handle to prevent scratching on my bran new handles. I placed the handle in a small vice, tighten just enough to prevent movement when pressing in the second washer with a new flat screwdriver. while holding the washer between my fingers with my left hand. DO NOT STAB YOURSELF WITH THE SCREWDRIVER! the screwdriver must have a flat face on the tip. if it is worn or rounded off it will just slip off the washer. Push strait back towards the handle. I used a small drift punch to line up the washer with the barrel and installed the screw with Blue Threadlocker. After turning the handles for 10 minutes and final tuning, It came out perfect! Hope this helps.
The tolerance is so tight that there is no tap even loose, but the method in the video doesn't work anymore. What I had to do today was pinch both bearings and washers, but the washers were off center so they go into the handle first. Then use that lever pressure to slowly ease it in. Hey Will - I just found your channel. I'm new to flipping. Im starting with a Vulp and a Lucha for my live blade. I just installed the Flyti Europa handles. They did not come with washers. When I tighten the pivot screws all the way, the blade can't swing freely unless I back the screws off. Is this because I don't have washers or a tuning issue?
everything went smooth except for the second washer. i had to use much brute force which in the end worked but it felt pretty wrong since i used a variety of wood type objects because my hand was too soft to get the washer in.
Works perfectly now tho thx for this awesome video
Hi thank for your channel it awesome! I have a quick question. I am upgrading my lucha with the titanium handles and the ceramic washers, do I need to put the other washers
is there anywhere to get a full set of hardware and a blade/trainer blade? Flytanium has some pretty rad sandwhich scales, but i dont want to buy a whole ass other knife just to use the scales
Are you able to use the new washers for the aluminum handles with the stock handle? I have the upgraded bearings from flytanium installed, with my stock handles.
I put some of these on my sons trainer and the second washer was so difficult to get in there. I had to hammer them in with a small flathead and my lucha. Anyone have any suggestions for making the handles less grippy? They feel like sand paper. They look cool and make the knife much lighter. That’s a plus.
My bite handle squeaks so bad so I keep racing it or add lube just assembled a day ago been cranking it for id say about a solid straight hour do I get oil
Question : Do I absolutely need to loctite my knife, even if I don't mind tightening it often ? I heard it prevents corrosion and stuff, but is it really mandatory ? Thanks !
I just realized that when I reassembled my Lucha a month ago after giving it some lube and loctite I put the handles back on backwards... Don't ask me how because I don't have a clue. I didn't even notice until just now because the handles are basically symmetrical, all it did was reverse the bite and safe handle.
@@dylanhines1140 had to mail it in to flytanium to do it for me. They never stated if there was a problem or what the problem was but they put the handles on and mailed it back. Hope this helped

I'd definitely recommend Permatex Orange instead of Loctite Blue 242. Permatex Orange (the gel version is the best) is basically Loctite Red but you can still unscrew it with only hand tools like Blue Loctite. Also, if you really don't want to wait 24 hours for a full cure, you can put your bali in the oven at 180° f for 3 or 4 hours and it should be fully cured. The 24 hour cure time on threadlocker packages is based on an avg temperature in the 70° f range, hotter temps make the threadlocker cure much faster.
