My daughter works for a bakery. The bakery has a program with the local food bank to unload their surplus pastry to give to the homeless people. On Christmas day, they threw away 35 perfectly fine Christmas theme cakes just because no one at the food bank worked on Christmas day. And the bakery has a corporate policy not to sell Christmas cake after Christmas nor employees can take home any surplus food. Each cake sells for US$40 and they ended up in the dumpster.

Look for a PBS news program named “Frontline”. The episode titled “Plastic Wars” first aired in March 2020 talks about how recycling plastic is just a lie. It was just marketing propaganda to sell more plastics. Recyclable is NOT the same as recycled for real. Google it, it may still be available on PBS website.

i would very strongly urge the people at waste management to do a much better job of very strongly and effectively advocating for the extremely important need to make mandatory recycling a much more common practice. the way i think we can do this is by making mandatory recyclling containers at many more sporting venue's,concert venue's restaraunt's,bar's and retail store's amuch more common practice than what we are currently doing. Doing so would greatly reduce the enormopus amount of unnecessary waste and save the government ten's of billion's of dollar's. we really need to do so
i think our machine may be can do something with this problem, after recycling the waste paper,we pulping it ,and screening out the stone and nail, etc.then we molding the pulp ,make them into some shape ,like egg tray ,fruit tray ,or other paper package ,finallly we drying them. then we got the products from the waste paper ,it is quite useful。

Flue gas cleaning for waste incineration is working just fine over here for all those pollutants. You end up with bottom ash that is often used in street construction, and flue ash (dust) which contains the harmful contaminants and is being deposed safely. As a sideline you end up with just a fraction of the original volume. The argument of global warming is also boneless, because the methane from landfills will either be burned as shown, or will (and it will) find a way through the top layer of the landfill. Methane is much worse than CO2 considering its greenhouse warming potential. Also, trash is by far not 100% fossil (only the plastic, basically), the rest thats not of fossil origin and burns can be considered biomass.
