    Great Tutorial! Fast and simple. No fuss. To the point :) I have a question though: I the same manner, would i be possible to register a bottom press button part as "buttonhole" so when adding top and bottom parts, it is possible to actually close the garment with them (as a regular snap button would do in real life...) Trying to work around it here ;) Or may be this is now a feature of a new version of Clo? I'm practicing with the trials so far. (which are amazing! someday I will be able to get my own :)

      Just about anything can be registered as a "buttonhole", so give it a try! If you change the buttons to the male/female snaps you can also use a tack to keep them closed.

      @@CLO3D Sure, the tack is the good alternative. (Btw I found out you can't upload an .obj in the button hole section to the bottom part of the snaps cannot be switch for the button hole).... :( Also (for snaps) is there a setting to change (like reduce the "additional thickness colision" to reduce the distance from the fabric to the buttons (snaps) so they stick more closely to the fabric? (apart from doing it manually) :) Thank you much for your help

    How can you make it so there are 3 holes on a button instead of four or two? (The holes which the thread goes through)

      You would need to create your own Button OBJ. support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015820408-Register-Custom-OBJ-as-Buttons

    For me, like this coming " This OBJ file cannot be registered as a button. The point where the button attaches to the garment must intersect the positive Y-axis" please help

      If the OBJ was created in another 3D application, import it into CLO place it on the "ground" at 0,0,0 with the point of contact [to the garment] facing down. Export this as an OBJ. You should then be able to register as a button.

      You have to export it as an OBJ.

    hi, when i import my button, it goes directly to the center of the world, do you know why is this?

    • @CLO3D
      @CLO3D  Год назад

      Are you importing the OBJ directly or have you registered the OBJ as a button?

    I couldn't find (Duplicate As Buttonhole To Symmetric Pattern) in CLO 5.

    • @CLO3D
      @CLO3D  4 года назад

      You will only have this option if the other piece is symmetrically linked - You can learn about symmetry in the link below

      @@CLO3D Ok thank you so much...that option really makes everything much easier, than placing a button hole one at a time, and lining them up all crooked.

      @@CLO3D Ok It's the same video...but I did miss that part.."Control D" to make it symmetrical. Thanks. 😊👍
