I was a sophomore in high school (1981) when Luke & Laura got married. This couple was all the rage back in the early 1980s. The world was a different place back then. Good Times!!!!!

Happy 40th Anniversary Luke & Laura!!! I know they're not together but this is a memorial of that special day in my life. I was 10 and Luke & Laura were my heroes.
Remembering this takes me back in time. What a time machine this is. Wow thinking that a lot of these people are not with us anymore but we are so lucky to see them again. Father Time keeps ticking away. Amazing !
Happy 41st L&L. GH was introduced to me in 1977, and once Gloria Monty took helm, it blew up to unbelievable heights. The exciting stories really helped me escape my childhood traumas during this era. I was easily drawn in by the characters and amazing stories. L&L and GH itself saved my life. It gave me the key to opening my imagination and using that tool to deal with my physical and sexual abuse at such a young age. So when I call L&L my heroes, I couldn't mean that any more than I do, from the bottom of my heart. I began writing and play acting my stories to develop that escape. It was a Godsend. ❤️❤️
Wow, thank you for sharing such a candid and inspiring story of your trauma & how you got through the terrible times and came out the other side much stronger a person!

I watch GH daily when when Luke and Laura got married I still love them, I don't remember all of this being seen on TV before the wedding I know this was a long time ago when I was young, may be because I got old.🤣😂💐🙌🏽❤
Oh, the memories. I was a freshman in college. My dorm RA got a cake and made punch. We had a reception while watching in the TV room. I can’t believe it has been over 40 years.
I remember people calling in sick to miss work so they could be home for the wedding. This really was one of the first Blockbuster TV events, that proved how big a rating a show could get.
I was 10 years old and hooked on L&L thanks to my late mother. She never missed an episode and I’d rush home from school to watch as much as I could with her.. ❤😢
I watched this when it first aired. I can actually remember some of the commercials. Notably the Sears Christmas commercial during the first break. Honestly thank you for putting the commercials in too!
This is amazing to see especially with the commercials, brings back a ton of memories. I was 8 years old at the time this came out. Thanks for uploading 🥰
I stayed home from school for two days because I was so worried that I would miss a second of this wedding. It was epic. I mean 30 million people watching, Elizabeth Taylor, Princess Diana sending a magnum of champagne, covers of countless magazines; you just had to be there in 1981.
I don't remember seeing all these preparations the food parts before Luke and Laura's wedding back in the day when I was young maybe because Im old now😂.I loved seeing them get married beautiful wedding ,I do remember that day like it was yesterday my eyes glued to the tv.💐💗
I love GH ever since I was a little kid! I'd watch it with my family. I was almost 2 years old when Luke and Laura got married. 😂 It's so great watching the most viewed episode of GH now as an adult. ❤
Love seeing Lila walking and socializing. Wow and Jason's birth mom. Who would have thought back then that the baby would still be front burner 37 years later

I’m team L&L all the way! I love watching this episode it’s a classic I will continue to watch it as long it’s on RUclips thank you for uploading this. ❤️🌸
Oh how we all loved this! I can remember most all of my high school actually skipped class or got out early to go home and watch the wedding. I think the term “watch parties” was invented by us! Principals and school staff didn’t even bother trying to detain us. Great memories. ❤
This is great but it's so upsetting that Luke told Tracy years later he didn't really love Laura. Poor writing and an insult to the viewer's intelligence!
I wish I could've seen Luke and Laura get married when this originally aired but my parents did! I was literally in my mom's womb. 😊 I'm watching it now for the first time! ❤
