What I do with individually wrapped teas is - I take an empty mason jar or even an empty spaghetti or pickle jar that I've washed out and stash all of the random tea packets in there. That way, I can *see* what tea packets are left and I'm not taking up valuable real estate in my kitchen cabinets storing a box with *one* or *two* teas left in them!
I keep my tea bags in a wooden recipe box. We have two boxes: one for regular tea, one for flavored teas. They are small boxes, so they look great on the counter! 😀
I use the glass jars from my coconut oil that are the same size as Mason jars and they work great for all condiments. I have one for soy sauces, ketchup and Mustard packets, another for my coffee sweetners. What a difference they made in my kitchen.
That's so cool that your hubby has started sneaking things into the video areas! That would also make me feel good, as someone with ADHD, because there's no criticism, just recognition of what I've identified as a strategy that works. I spent years with too much criticism and not enough encouragement, so being recognized as the expert on what works for me is so incredibly validating. 🥰
Omg my anxiety was rising at the thought of a whole house declutter. Thanks for showing how doable that was and you had so much in each pile, well done 👏 Thanks for always keeping it real and reminding me and so many others to start where you are and be kind and gentle with yourself. Miss Pepper is a wonderful motivator too. Stay safe and healthy. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪🤞🙏💐🐈🦄
WoW, you are doing Wonderful. Your bedroom is So Clean and Beautiful Blessing to both of you. Like you know life gets busy and you are a Super Woman. You are so much better, Your Home is so much better. WoW, it can be done. Congratulations ❣️💝💞💖💞💝❣️
Something that helps me is having a "catch all basket" in every room. If I can't get something put away right when I come into that room, I put it in the basket. Baskets are near the doors, so I pass them on the way out. When leaving a space, I try to grab something out of a basket on my way to next room. It's visual and helps remind me to put it away or do something with it.
I've worked in a lot of museums and let me tell you they are all far from perfect!!! The bits the public see are usually great (just don't be there when we open the 'secret door' and find we actually keep the vacuum in there, and a hundred years ago they probably kept a broom in there). Staff spaces? Hot mess with too many people using them and no one ever having time to tidy up. Storerooms? We have no money, we keep everything that might be useful (cleaning stuff, all the craft supplies, books, papers). And the collection store? Trust me, pretty much all museums have more stuff than they can display at once- the other stuff is neatly in boxes and on shelves if you are lucky but it's often a 'work in progress' with regard to cataloguing and organising. Other than the historic water mill (where the objects were all part of the building and bolted to the floor) I've never worked in a museum that had a fully catalogued collection.
You really are coming far along in your journey. Good that you remind yourself of that periodically so you don't feel discouraged. You're doing great, you got this!
My daughter hast adhd. She has no problems to let things go. She is the opposite. The less I have, the less I clean. Thanks for your videos. I never understoodher random action. But now, I understand how the adhd brain works.. At least for her cleaning attitude. Sorry for my english. I am learning it every day.. The best for you and your family. Thanks from Germany
Awe, I absolutely love your motto!! And your English is beautiful!! The funny thing is: I have three friends who are ADHD and they are super tidy!! But they don’t have the hoarding disorder. So I know that once I heal the hoarding, I should be able to keep up with the cleaning!! Lol Lots of love to beautiful Germany 🇩🇪❤️
Miss Heart- you are the coolest. We have a lot of things stashed in our garage in our home from my inlaws who both passed last year. It is a long process to go through, organize and declutter- but sometimes I bring in my laptop and put on your videos to motivate me as I go through. Nice to have such fabulous and positive company as I work through the clutter.! :) Thank you and Miss Pepper, too! :)
I love the idea of thinking of decluttering not as a loss, but making the space more functional for you and your family, and over time working out how to tweak things to make your lives easier and more simple.
What I would love to see hubbies piles decluttered. You make all these piles for him to declutter and never see those things or piles dealt with. I know he doesn’t want to be on film but maybe do a before and after of his stuff and see what he keeps and tosses.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one just touching Christmas gifts! I think gift cards are a perfect gift, that way you can spend it at your leisure and when you feel the urge to shop you can indulge.
Hello from Germany and hi miss heart and miow pepper..... Good to see the end of the "tunnel"..... Today I must go to the hole big apartment, but first the kids have a physio appointment. one first coffee and.... Run... Run... Run.... Be safe
You teach us to be nice to ourselves, you teach us perseverence, and that all the little bits count. This is so important in all areas of life! It is why your videos inspire me very much even though I have no hoarder tendencies myself. But, my house is by far not a tidy museum either. 😉 Once again, very proud of you.
The way u treat self gently & reach ur goals is really very very inspiring.... would love to c video on the emotional storms & how u understand the cause, safeguard , recharge self & maintain progress too... how do u plan & start& continue when clutter everywhere...I kind of need it badly., i kind of negative self talk
As it turns out, this video really triggered me but I think it will be a positive in the long run. I realized how sad I am that I have allowed pressure and ignoring my heart to make my nervous system start avoiding things that should be fun and used to be my passion, until I started doing them as a job or started taking them too seriously and ignored my heart when I felt unsafe. I woke up crying about it, after hearing your description watching the video just before bed about how you don't want your nervous system to think of decluttering as stressful, but are reconditioning it and rewiring it to see decluttering as fun. It gave me hope about the things I used to love until I started adding trauma to them. I wonder if you have any books that have helped you in particular in learning to recondition things as safe and positive. I don't feel that therapy is an option right now financially, but there is something about the ways you speak to your nervous system that are giving me a loud and clear message that I need to do this same work and healing on myself. I am ready for it right now, and life feels too short to wait any longer to start. I would love to hear what worked for you if you are willing to share. I understand if this is too personal a request.
We feel lucky that recording videos helps you…. Because we get to enjoy more of your videos too! Keep them coming! I find your videos to be very soothing to my nervous system. The way you role model talking your nervous into feeling safe is really helpful.
December 2023. I've been getting rid of 20 items each day for some time. A pile to the library, old papers get recycled, old dishes to Goodwill, craft items to the seniors group, and gradually a shelf gets cleared. My husband sold some old hobby stuff. I have more plants for the library next week. Tina, Al's wife
I love seeing all the spaces that you were able to declutter to the point of letting your creativity shine through planned out and curated decor. When your spaces get too cluttered we didn't get to see how creative you can be! Another great video.
Great job Ms.♥️. You have come so far in your journey. I’m starting this month that I accomplish something each day no matter how big or small. Whether its cleaning something, organizing or decluttering. I just need to do something. Thank you for the inspiration and sharing your journey with all of us. 😊♥️

It would be really interesting to have an interview with your husband. Even if you couldn't see him just hear him explain how to best support you. You do a great job of explaining it as well. Thank you so much!
It is so true. In the 80's and 90's we had the best stuff. I am watching this vid as I am at the attick right now. My sanctuary as I call it but in reality it's now exploded to a hoarding pile of emotions and memories. I feel it too in my nervous system. I feel motivated seeing your video's. You are doing such a great job! ❤️ I am going through ups and downs. I start with the intention of doing a great cleanup and freeze. When I do compose myself and get rid of a handful of stuff I tell myself good job. It does take small steps or else it is easy to get back to hoarding. That what feels safe all our lives.

I have no idea how ”bad” your adhd is, but for like a traditional phase in your development, could it work to put a small(ish) basket on each of your hotspot surfaces? I’m thinking that everything that gets dumped on f ex your bed dresser, instead of dumping it all loose on the surfade, you could have a ”catch-basket” to dump all things into. This keeps the surface cleaner and easier to clean, you can still just empty out your handbag or wallet etc easily. And then when the basket is full, that is a Cuenca take 5-10 minuters and declutter it. You could also have a similar basket in your entry/Livingroom. This also means that you have easier to find a certain thing if you need to. Dump out the basket on a surface, find the thing you’re looking for (like a gift card, or a certain paper) and then dump it all back in the container. Hope this tip can help! Love from Johanna in sweden
Love your thoughts on how you stay motivated while maintaining feeling safe You are so inspiring! Was there a link to te mega motivation playlist? I couldn't find it. Fall is kind of like my new year for decluttering and organizing and I know the list will help. I love Pepper.
Needed to share this here because I didn't know anyone else who would understand but today I completely freaked out while cleaning out the garage because I found Mouse droppings everywhere and so as I started opening one bag I noticed a few things that was torn to shreds I didn't even get it fully open before I decided to toss it only problem was it was a huge garbage bag like 50L worth of stuff and I'm normally the person that goes through every little bitty thing before getting rid of something and I kept trying to remind myself it's okay because my decluttering muscles are strong but now it's almost 12:00 in the a.m. and I'm still freaking out about it because I know some of my sons toys were in there and possibly some sensitive information along with some photos and some knick knacks and lots of other stuff... the garbagep(dumpster) is not yet been dumped/ taken away and there's a part of me that wants to go pull it out but I know that I need to leave it in there Ughhh 😣😣😣 that is all

Love your thoughts on how you stay motivated while maintaining feeling safe You are so inspiring! Was there a link to te mega motivation playlist? I couldn't find it. Fall is kind of like my new year for decluttering and organizing and I know the list will help. I love Pepper.
Thank you so so much!! I fixed the description box link so I hope it comes up now 🙏🏼💜🦄🌟
Needed to share this here because I didn't know anyone else who would understand but today I completely freaked out while cleaning out the garage because I found Mouse droppings everywhere and so as I started opening one bag I noticed a few things that was torn to shreds I didn't even get it fully open before I decided to toss it only problem was it was a huge garbage bag like 50L worth of stuff and I'm normally the person that goes through every little bitty thing before getting rid of something and I kept trying to remind myself it's okay because my decluttering muscles are strong but now it's almost 12:00 in the a.m. and I'm still freaking out about it because I know some of my sons toys were in there and possibly some sensitive information along with some photos and some knick knacks and lots of other stuff... the garbagep(dumpster) is not yet been dumped/ taken away and there's a part of me that wants to go pull it out but I know that I need to leave it in there
Ughhh 😣😣😣 that is all
